Overview

The Raymarine T075-916 is a wireless Micronet Race Master system for sailboat racing, combining a tactical race compass with speed, depth, and sea temperature input from a through-hull triducer. The two-tier Race Master display shows compass heading, wind shift information, line bias, race timer data, boat speed, depth, and sea temperature, giving the crew race-critical information without running display cables through the hull or mast.

The T070 Race Master display is solar powered with integrated lithium batteries and can run for up to 300 hours without charge, with 7 nights of use at the brightest backlighting setting or 20 nights at economy backlighting. Its twin two-line monochrome LCD layout uses 1.1 inch upper digits and 0.8 inch lower digits, with three backlight levels for use in changing light during starts, mark roundings, and longer racing days.

The display is sealed and submersible to 33 feet, or 10 meters, which suits exposed cockpit and mast-mounted sailing use. The included T121 Micronet hull transmitter is powered by the T138 solar panel and can also use a 9 to 24V DC external supply, helping the system fit boats where wireless instrument data is wanted with less cabling and fewer holes through the boat.

Key features
  • Wireless Micronet system reduces the need to route instrument cables through the hull or down the mast.
  • Race Master display shows heading, lift and header information, line bias, countdown timer, boat speed, depth, and sea temperature.
  • Twin two-line LCD display can be read from both sides of the boat, useful for crew on either tack.
  • Solar powered T070 display with integrated lithium batteries runs up to 300 hours without charge.
  • Sealed Race Master display is submersible to 33 feet, or 10 meters, for exposed sailing conditions.
  • T121 hull transmitter supports solar power through the T138 panel, 9 to 24V DC external power, and lithium cell backup.
  • T910 through-hull triducer reads speed, depth, and water temperature from a single transducer installation.
  • System can be expanded with compatible Micronet displays and added wind or GPS information.
Installation and setup

This system suits sailors who want race instrument data without the weight, routing work, and deck penetrations that come with a traditional wired display network. The Race Master display uses a mounting cradle, so it can be placed where the helmsman and crew can see it clearly, then removed when the boat is not in use.

The through-hull triducer requires a 2 inch cut-out, so fit should be checked against the hull location, interior access, and existing instrument openings before installation. The hull transmitter gathers the triducer data and sends it wirelessly to the Micronet system, while the dedicated solar panel supports transmitter power without relying only on the boat’s electrical system.

Use on board

On a race boat, the system is most useful during starts, upwind legs, and downwind decision-making. The line bias and race timer functions help with starting routines, while the wind shift and heading display help the crew see whether the boat is lifted or headed compared with the mean course.

It is a good match for keelboats and performance sailboats where the crew needs clear racing data in the cockpit and wants to avoid additional mast or deck wiring. The speed, depth, and sea temperature input also makes it more complete than a compass-only display for boats that need core instrument data during club racing, coastal racing, and regular performance sailing.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
