Overview
The Victron Energy BPP010300100R is a Color Control GX monitor with button control for viewing, controlling, and coordinating a Victron power system from one panel on board. It works as the communication center for compatible Victron inverter chargers, inverters, Quattros, MPPT solar chargers, battery monitors, VE.Can devices, and supported tank or GPS inputs.
The unit accepts an 8 to 70 V DC power supply, making it suitable for common 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V marine electrical systems when installed with the correct protection. Its 130 x 120 x 28 mm body gives it a practical panel footprint at a helm, nav station, or electrical control area where battery state, AC loads, PV harvest, generator input, alarms, and system status need to be checked quickly.
When connected to the internet, the Color Control GX can send system readings to Victron Remote Management for remote monitoring and configuration. This is useful for owners who want to check batteries, solar charging, shore power, or generator behavior while away from the boat.
Key features
- Button-operated color display gives a local overview of battery state of charge, current power consumption, PV production, and mains or generator input.
- 8 to 70 V DC power input supports installation across a wide range of DC boat systems when wired with the correct fuse and cabling.
- Includes two isolated VE.Direct ports, two isolated VE.Can RJ45 sockets, and two isolated VE.Bus RJ45 sockets for connecting compatible Victron equipment.
- Two USB Host ports allow connection of supported accessories such as USB storage, GPS, WiFi adapter, or VE.Direct to USB adapters where the system layout requires them.
- Ethernet RJ45 port gives a wired network option for VRM access, Remote Console, software updates, and Modbus-TCP gateway use.
- Potential-free normally open relay contact rated at 3 A, 30 V DC, or 250 V AC can be used for alarm signaling or automatic generator start and stop functions.
- Operating temperature range of -20 to +50 C suits protected marine electrical spaces that can see wide seasonal temperature changes.
Installation and setup
Mount the display where it can be seen and operated without opening a locker or engine-room panel. A dry, protected location is the right choice, such as the navigation station, main electrical panel, pilothouse, or inside a covered helm console. Avoid exposed washdown areas unless the surrounding enclosure gives suitable protection.
The unit is powered from the Power in V+ connector and does not take operating power from the communication networks. A 1 A slow-blow fuse should be used on the supply feed. In systems with several connected devices, the isolated VE.Bus, VE.Direct, and VE.Can ports help reduce ground-loop concerns, while USB accessories should be planned carefully because the USB ports are not isolated.
Electrical and system integration
For Victron-based marine power systems, this monitor is most useful when the boat has more than one device to track. It can bring together information from inverter chargers, MPPT solar chargers, BMV battery monitors, Lynx devices, Skylla-i chargers, NMEA 2000 tank sensors, and supported third-party equipment, depending on the final system layout.
Remote Console over VRM or the local network lets the same interface be used away from the physical display. For boats with a generator, the relay and control logic can support automatic start and stop based on conditions such as battery state of charge, voltage, load, and quiet-time rules.
Use cases on board
This monitor is a strong fit for cruising boats, fishing vessels, and liveaboard systems that rely on inverter power, solar charging, battery storage, and generator backup. It gives the skipper or installer one place to confirm whether the energy system is charging, discharging, supporting AC loads, or waiting for shore or generator input.
It is also useful for owners who leave the boat at a dock, mooring, or yard and still want visibility into battery condition and system history through VRM when an internet connection is available.
Maintenance and care
Keep the display and connectors dry, clean, and protected from salt spray. During seasonal checks, confirm that RJ45, VE.Direct, USB, Ethernet, and power connections are seated properly and free from corrosion. Where data logging is important, a microSD card or USB stick can be used for additional storage and later review.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
