Overview
The Jabsco 37038-Series is an inline, normally closed solenoid valve and anti-siphon assembly for Jabsco Quiet Flush fresh-water electric toilets. It is used where the toilet rinse is fed from the boat's pressurized fresh-water system rather than from a raw-water intake, helping control rinse water flow while adding backflow protection for the potable water side.
The valve assembly supports 12 VDC and 24 VDC installations through separate variants and is supplied with 1/2 in JG Speedfit connections, a 1/2 in hose barb inlet and a 3/4 in hose barb outlet. It also includes a double-check valve and an internal inlet filter, two details that matter in marine heads where small debris, backflow risk and tight plumbing runs can affect day-to-day use.
Key features
- For Jabsco Quiet Flush fresh-water toilet installations that connect to the boat's pressurized fresh-water system.
- Inline, normally closed valve operation controls rinse water only when the toilet system calls for water.
- Available in 12 VDC and 24 VDC versions so the valve can match the vessel's toilet circuit voltage.
- Supplied with 1/2 in JG Speedfit connections, a 1/2 in hose barb inlet and a 3/4 in hose barb outlet for common fresh-water head plumbing layouts.
- Double-check valve helps protect the potable water supply from contamination, with an internal inlet filter to catch debris before it reaches the valve.
- Can be mounted above or below the toilet and in any orientation when fixed to a suitable dry surface.
- Mounting bracket included for a fixed installation near the toilet or fresh-water feed line.
Variants
This parent item covers the voltage options for the solenoid and anti-siphon valve used in compatible Jabsco fresh-water toilet systems.
The difference between the variants is the DC supply voltage. The plumbing connections, valve function, double-check valve, internal inlet filter and mounting bracket are consistent across the two versions.
- 37038-2012: Voltage 12 VDC. This version is for toilet installations wired on a 12 VDC circuit.
- 37038-2024: Voltage 24 VDC. This version is for toilet installations wired on a 24 VDC circuit.
Installation and setup
Install the valve in the cold pressurized fresh-water feed near the toilet, using a suitable tee from the vessel's water system and following the flow direction marked on the valve. The inlet side connects to a 1/2 in feed, and the outlet runs to the toilet rinse inlet with 3/4 in hose by the most direct practical route.
Mount the assembly on a secure dry surface using the bracket, then secure hose connections with stainless steel band-type clamps where reinforced hose is used. The electrical side should match the toilet system voltage, because a 12 VDC valve and a 24 VDC valve are not interchangeable.
Compatibility and fit
This valve is a practical replacement or service part for Jabsco Quiet Flush fresh-water toilet installations that use a solenoid and siphon breaker rather than a raw-water intake pump. It is commonly listed for Jabsco 37045, 37055, 37075 and 58XX0 toilet series, but the installed toilet model and onboard voltage should be checked before ordering.
Use on board
It suits cruising boats, sport-fishing boats and larger sailboats with pressurized fresh water available at the head and a preference for a fresh-water rinse. It is especially relevant when the toilet bowl keeps admitting water, the existing valve no longer closes cleanly, or the anti-siphon valve assembly is being refreshed during head system service.
Maintenance and care
The internal inlet filter and valve body should be kept free of debris, because small particles in the fresh-water line can stop a solenoid from closing fully. During seasonal maintenance or head service, depressurize the fresh-water system before opening any connections and inspect the surrounding area for leaks after the system is brought back up to pressure.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
