Overview

The Simrad 000-13293-002 is an IS42 speed and depth pack that pairs a 4.1-inch color instrument display with a DST810 thru-hull sensor for depth, speed-through-water, and temperature on an NMEA 2000 network. The IS42 uses a 320 x 240 optically bonded transflective screen, is rated IPx7, and runs from the NMEA 2000 power bus (10 to 16 V DC).

This setup is made for helms where you want speed and depth in plain view without adding a full chartplotter at every station. The IS42 can also show other onboard data when it is available on the network, including wind, engine information, autopilot status, GPS data, and AIS targets.

Key features
  • IS42 4.1-inch optically bonded color display with 320 x 240 resolution for clear readability in sun and at night
  • Selectable backlight colors (white, red, green, blue) to match day and night helm lighting
  • IPx7-rated instrument body and an operating range of -25 to +65 C for exposed helm installations
  • NMEA 2000 Micro-C connectivity with power supplied through the network (10 to 16 V DC)
  • DST810 smart transducer outputs depth (235 kHz, 0.5 to 100 m) plus speed-through-water (up to 45 knots) and water temperature
  • Built-in attitude sensing in the DST810 for heel and trim data, with Bluetooth setup and calibration support via the Airmar CAST app
  • Includes an NMEA 2000 backbone starter kit so you can build a small network backbone and connect the display and sensor cleanly
What’s included
  • IS42 display
  • DST810 depth/speed/temperature transducer with plastic thru-hull housing
  • NMEA 2000 Micro-C backbone starter kit
Installation and setup

The IS42 is typically flush mounted at the helm or nav station. Once installed in the panel, it connects to the NMEA 2000 backbone with a single Micro-C drop cable, and the network supplies both power and data.

The DST810 is a thru-hull install, so plan for access to the inside of the hull and a location that stays in clean flow for consistent speed and depth readings. Keep it away from strakes, steps, and other turbulence sources, and leave enough service loop in the cable to reach the backbone without tension.

Network and power notes

This pack is built around NMEA 2000, which is a 12 V bus in practice (the included components operate in the 9 to 16 V range). On 24 V boats, the usual approach is to feed the NMEA 2000 power node from a regulated 12 V source or a DC-DC converter, then let the backbone distribute power to the IS42 and sensor.

For stable data and fewer intermittent faults, keep the backbone properly terminated at both ends and use T-connectors for each device drop rather than splicing or daisy chaining.

Use on board

This pack suits sailboats that want speed-through-water and depth at the helm with an instrument that can also show heel and trim data from the sensor. It also fits small powerboats that need a dedicated depth and speed readout without giving up dash space for a larger display.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
