Overview
The Lopolight 301-105 PRO Series is a 3 nautical mile, 135 degree white stern navigation light for horizontal mounting on larger vessels. It is built around an IP68-rated housing and uses a plug connector, which helps when you want a clean service loop and a straightforward disconnect for maintenance.
This is a stern light with a defined aft sector, so placement matters. Mount it on the vessel centerline with the optic facing aft and keep the line of sight clear across the full 135 degree arc. The family is offered in single stack and double stack formats; both share the same Ø92.5 mm body diameter, while overall height changes with the stack style.
Standard versions run on 10-32 VDC and list 1.7 W power draw with current draw of 130 mA at 12 VDC and 72 mA at 24 VDC. Ice-class versions add a built-in de-icing function and use a 20-32 VDC supply.

Across the range you will see single stack versus double stack body styles, standard versus built-in de-icing versions, and versions certified for hazardous areas (IEC Ex and ATEX). De-icing versions use a 20-32 VDC supply and list higher power draw when the de-icing mode is active, while standard versions are listed at 10-32 VDC. Ex-certified versions are supplied for Zone 1 and 2 environments and may have different base and gland expectations than the non-Ex units.
Installation and setup
Because this is a 135 degree stern light, take a minute to confirm the optic orientation before you fasten anything down. A small rotation error can put the sector edge in the wrong place, which shows up immediately during a night check from astern quarters.
Plan the cable run so the connector stays accessible and protected from standing water. On many transoms and stern rails, a short drip loop and a sheltered pass-through into the lazarette keeps the connection tidy and serviceable.
Electrical and system integration
Standard PRO versions are listed for 10-32 VDC systems with 1.7 W power draw and current draw of 130 mA at 12 VDC or 72 mA at 24 VDC. Ice-class versions with built-in de-icing are listed for 20-32 VDC and include higher consumption when de-icing is active, so size the feed and protection with that mode in mind.
Minimum feed wire gauge is listed at 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22) on standard versions, while de-icing versions list 1.5 mm2 (AWG 18). If you are tying into a navigation light controller or monitoring system, the plug connector makes it easier to keep terminations consistent and avoid rework during refits.
Compatibility and fit
Body diameter is Ø92.5 mm across the series. Overall height is listed at 103.5 mm for the single stack format and 125.5 mm for the double stack format, which can matter on tight stern pods, rails, and overhangs. Typical listed weight is around 1.5 kg, and the family is specified for vessels over 50 m.
If you are replacing an existing fixture, confirm the mounting base style and cable exit path match what you already have. The Ex versions, in particular, are intended for hazardous locations and are often specified as part of a wider equipment package for those zones.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt deposits off the lens and housing as part of routine washdowns, especially after heavy spray or dockside grime. Check fasteners periodically and inspect the connector area for strain, chafe, and water pooling so the seal stays clean and the cable jacket stays intact.
