Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 1147 is a remote control panel for managing two ML-Series switches and one ML-Series Automatic Charging Relay from one 3-position panel. It works with 12V DC and 24V DC systems, and the panel measures 4.75 in high by 4.88 in wide with a 2.00 in depth, which helps when you are checking space behind a helm, nav station, or utility panel.
It comes with two 2145 SPDT Remote Control Contura switches with (ON)-OFF-(ON) action and one 2146 SPDT Remote Control Contura switch with ON-OFF-ON action. Lockout slides on the panel help reduce accidental switching when the boat is underway, tied up, or being serviced.
This panel suits boats that already use Blue Sea ML-Series remote battery switching and want the controls in a more accessible location than the battery compartment. Keeping switching and ACR control together at the helm or another frequently used station makes day-to-day operation easier and keeps the layout easier to read.
Key features
- Controls two ML-Series switches and one ML-Series Automatic Charging Relay from one panel
- 3-position layout for battery switching and charging relay control
- Works with 12V DC and 24V DC nominal systems
- Lockout slides help reduce accidental switch movement
- Panel size is 4.75 in x 4.88 in with 2.00 in depth for installations where rear clearance matters
- Includes illustrated labels, with a larger range of label options available for more customized panel layouts
Compatibility and fit
The 1147 is not a general-purpose switching panel. It is set up for Blue Sea ML-Series remote switching hardware, so fit starts with the electrical layout already on board. Check that your system uses two ML-Series switches and one ML-Series ACR, and confirm there is enough room for the panel depth and wiring behind the mounting surface.
It is a good match for cruising boats, fishing boats, and other setups where the high-current switching hardware stays close to the batteries while normal control is moved to the helm or another protected station. That arrangement keeps the operator from having to go back to the battery area each time a switch or relay function needs attention.
Installation and setup
The included switch set matters during installation. The two 2145 switches use momentary (ON)-OFF-(ON) action, while the 2146 switch uses maintained ON-OFF-ON action. Match those functions to the ML devices in your wiring plan before final assembly so the panel logic stays clear and consistent.
Clear labeling matters on a panel like this because battery isolation and charging functions need to be understood at a glance by anyone operating or servicing the boat. The included illustrated labels help with a standard layout, and the panel can support more specific labeling where the system calls for it.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
