Overview
The Lumitec Contour Series Navigation Light is an inset LED navigation light for boats where the fixture needs to sit low and look clean on a hardtop, arch, or pilothouse. It runs on 10-30 VDC and draws about 0.8 W (67 mA at 12 VDC, 33 mA at 24 VDC).
Each light carries a 2 nautical mile visibility rating and conforms to ABYC C-5. That covers typical navigation-light requirements for vessels up to 50 m (165 ft) when mounted with an unobstructed view.
The housing is rated IP67 for spray and washdowns and is specified for -31F to 131F operation. The body is about 2.67 inches wide and about 1.32 inches deep, which helps when checking clearance behind the mounting surface.
Key features
- Inset-format navigation light with a white housing for a tidy install on hardtops, arches, and pilothouses
- 10-30 VDC input for 12V and 24V DC systems
- 2 NM visibility rating for navigation light use on vessels up to 50 m (165 ft)
- IP67-rated construction for exposed mounting locations and routine washdowns
- Low power draw: about 0.8 W (67 mA at 12 VDC, 33 mA at 24 VDC)
- CE certified
Variants
This product is offered in three color outputs to cover the standard red, green, and white navigation-light functions.
Across the three options, the electrical input (10-30 VDC), 2 NM rating, and physical format remain the same. The difference is the color output and the intended mounting position on the boat.
- 101847: Color output Port Red. Typically installed on the port (left) side with a clear forward view so rails, canvas, and deck gear do not block the required arc.
- 101837: Color output Starboard Green. Typically installed on the starboard (right) side and aligned so it covers the correct horizontal arc of visibility.
- 101867: Color output Stern White. Typically installed at the stern where it can be seen from astern without glare reflecting back into the cockpit.
Installation and wiring
Wiring is a simple two-wire connection: positive and negative to a 10-30 VDC navigation-light circuit. It helps to support the cable run so it does not chafe, and to seal any penetrations through the hardtop or arch to keep water out of the core.
Port and starboard lights rely on correct orientation to meet the intended 112.5 degrees of horizontal coverage. Keep the lens unobstructed and avoid mounting positions where the hull, deck, or fixed structures shadow the light.
The light module snaps into the housing and can be released from the back when service access is needed.
Compatibility and fit
The low current draw helps on longer cable runs and on boats with multiple stations where voltage drop can show up at the bow or hardtop. The body depth is about 1.32 inches, so clearance behind the mounting surface is worth confirming before cutting.
With an IP67 rating and an operating range that covers -31F to 131F, this style of inset light suits boats that live outdoors and see spray, sun, and vibration.
Who it suits
This is a good match for center consoles, sportfishers, and pilothouse boats where navigation lights need to sit flush on a hardtop or arch and stay easy to access for maintenance.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
