Overview
The Lopolight 300-037 Series is a 5 NM white masthead light (225°) for vertical mounting, with the cable exiting from the bottom.
It runs on 20-32 VDC for 24 V systems, draws 7 W, and is sealed to an IP68 rating for exposed mounting where spray, washdowns, and vibration are normal. Output is rated at more than 52 cd, and the housing size is 107 x 92.5 x 74 mm (4.2 x 3.6 x 2.9 in).
Approvals cover COLREG72 and include EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, USCG, and M.E.D., which helps when you are matching an existing compliance package on larger yachts.
Key features
- 5 nautical mile visibility with a 225° white masthead sector for vessels 20-50 m
- 20-32 VDC input (24 V systems); 7 W draw (about 290 mA at 24 V)
- IP68 sealing with potted electronics for wet locations and constant vibration
- Vertical mount body with bottom cable outlet for cleaner routing through the mounting surface
- Minimum feed wire gauge of 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22) and an attached cable lead around 0.7 m
- Aluminum housing with an anodized finish, a PMMA lens, and A4 stainless fasteners in the light assembly
Variants
This light is offered in multiple configurations based on exterior finish.
The finish changes the look on deck while keeping the same 5 NM white masthead output, vertical mount format, and bottom cable direction.
- 300-037-CD: Finish Silver. Matches bare aluminum spars and polished metal fittings without standing out.
- 300-037-B-CD: Finish Black. Suits dark paint schemes, carbon masts, and black hardware for a consistent exterior look.
Compatibility and fit
This is a masthead (steaming) light sector, intended for forward visibility on power-driven vessels when installed on the vessel centerline and aligned to the marked zero line on the housing. It is sized and rated for the 20-50 m vessel range, which typically aligns with 24 V DC electrical systems.
With a vertical mounting profile and a bottom cable exit, it works well on mast supports, superstructure faces, and dedicated light brackets where you want wiring hidden behind the mounting surface.
Installation and wiring
Plan the mounting so the 225° sector is not blocked by rails, antennas, or hardtops. The unit mounts to a vertical surface using M6 fasteners; mounting bolts are not supplied, and a corrosion barrier is recommended when joining dissimilar materials.
Route the cable through a proper deck or bulkhead gland to maintain the IP68 seal and support the cable against vibration. Wire to a switched 24 V DC navigation-light circuit with appropriate circuit protection, and confirm polarity before energizing.
Use cases on board
This configuration fits larger motor yachts and commercial-style builds that need a long-range masthead light on a 24 V system. It is commonly installed on the mast, wheelhouse front, or a forward superstructure face where the light has a clear view ahead for coastal cruising and offshore runs.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the housing and lens with fresh water after salt exposure and clean the lens with a mild boat soap to keep the beam edge sharp. Periodically check mounting fasteners and cable support points, especially after heavy-weather passages or frequent high-speed runs.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
