Overview
The Lopolight 201-005 Series is a 2 NM LED tri-color navigation light for horizontal mounting that combines port, starboard, and stern sectors in one masthead fixture. It covers 112.5° red, 112.5° green, and 135° white for a full 360° visible arc, and it is used on sailboats in the 12 to 20 m (39.4 to 65.6 ft) range.
It runs on 10 to 32 VDC for 12V and 24V systems, with a 2.9 W draw (213 mA at 12V, 123 mA at 24V). The unit is IP68-rated for exposed locations and has a bottom-exit 0.7 m (2.3 ft) connection cable, so most installs splice into a junction inside the mast or just below the mounting surface.
The housing is anodized aluminum with a PMMA lens, and the light measures Ø92.5 mm x 46 mm (Ø3.6 in x 1.8 in) with a weight of about 0.53 kg (1.2 lb). Approvals include COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, and USCG.
Key features
- 2 NM tri-color masthead light with 112.5° red, 112.5° green, and 135° white sectors for a 360° total arc
- 10 to 32 VDC input for 12V and 24V onboard systems
- IP68 sealing for rain, spray, and washdowns at exposed mounting points
- Low draw at 2.9 W (213 mA at 12V, 123 mA at 24V)
- Horizontal mount with an HDPE base and bottom cable exit to keep wiring protected and tidy
- Compact footprint at Ø92.5 mm x 46 mm (Ø3.6 in x 1.8 in); weight about 0.53 kg (1.2 lb)
- Minimum feed wire gauge 0.5 mm² (AWG 22); operating temperature -25°C to 55°C
Variants
This light is offered in multiple housing finishes while keeping the same mounting style and core electrical and photometric specs.
The finish is the practical difference between variants, which mainly affects how the fixture blends with the mast and surrounding hardware.
- 201-005: Finish Silver. A neutral look that matches common anodized spars and stainless fittings.
- 201-005-B: Finish Black. A low-gloss look that sits quietly on darker rigs and painted mast sections.
What’s included
- Tri-color navigation light with attached connection cable (about 0.7 m / 2.3 ft)
- Installation guide
Installation and setup
Mount it on a flat, horizontal surface at the masthead where the lens has a clear view with no shrouds, antennas, or wind instruments blocking the sectors. The light is intended to sit level so the 112.5° and 135° arcs line up correctly.
Because the lead is short, plan a protected connection point close to the light. On most sailboats this means a junction inside the mast or under the mast cap, with strain relief and a drip loop before the cable enters the mast.
Electrical and system integration
Wire it to a navigation-light circuit that supplies 10 to 32 VDC. Current draw stays modest on both 12V and 24V systems, and the minimum feed wire gauge is 0.5 mm² (AWG 22), which helps when pulling conductors through a crowded mast.
Use on board
This style of tri-color masthead light is a good match for sailors who want a single combined running light for night passages, racing, or coastal runs where keeping deck-level lighting simple matters. It is also a clean option when you want a compact fixture that can stay mounted in sun, salt, and vibration without special handling.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
