Overview
The Lopolight 101-004 Series is a 1 NM combined red and green navigation sidelight for vertical mounting on vessels up to 12 m (39.4 ft). It replaces separate port and starboard sidelights with one fixture, showing 112.5 degrees red and 112.5 degrees green for a 225 degree total arc. Power is 10 to 32 VDC, so it fits both 12V and 24V systems.
The housing is aluminum with an anodized finish, paired with a PMMA lens, and the unit is sealed to IP68 for wet bow installations and washdowns. Overall size is 74.55 x 28 x 73.16 mm and weight is 0.49 kg (17.28 oz), which keeps the load modest on pulpits and thin vertical faces where space is tight.
Key features
- Combined port and starboard light in one fixture (red and green sectors), covering 225 degrees total (112.5 degrees per side).
- 1 nautical mile visibility rating for vessels under 12 m (39.4 ft).
- Runs on 10 to 32 VDC; current draw is 87 mA at 12V and 48 mA at 24V (power draw 1.4 W).
- IP68 sealing and an operating temperature range of -25 C to 55 C for exposed, spray-heavy mounting locations.
- Aluminum body with an anodized finish (varies by variant) and a PMMA lens; hardware is specified as A4 stainless steel.
- Supplied with a 2.5 m shielded cable made for marine use; minimum feed wire gauge is 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22).
- Approved to COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, and USCG (among others listed for this light family).
Variants
This light is offered in multiple finish options while keeping the same size, mounting style, light colors, and electrical range.
The finish mainly affects how it blends with your bow, pulpit, and deck hardware. The optical coverage and wiring requirements stay consistent across the series.
- 101-004: Finish in silver anodized aluminum. A common match for stainless hardware, aluminum rails, and lighter gelcoat.
- 101-004-B: Finish in black anodized aluminum. A clean fit with dark hull sides, black rails, and tinted windshields.
What’s included
- 1 navigation light, pre-cabled with a 2.5 m shielded marine-grade cable
- Installation guide
Installation and setup
Mount the unit on a vertical surface where the lens has a clear view forward and to both sides, with no shadowing from bow rails, anchor rollers, or a headsail furler. Take a moment to sight lines from the bow and make sure the light is level so the red and green sectors sit where they should when the boat is loaded.
The pre-attached cable is typically routed into the forepeak or behind the anchor locker liner. Use a watertight pass-through and leave a drip loop so water does not track along the cable into the boat.
Electrical and system integration
This is a two-wire connection on a 10 to 32 VDC supply, so it works on 12V and 24V panels without a converter. With low current draw, it fits comfortably on standard navigation-light circuits, but it should still be protected by the correct fuse or breaker for your boat wiring plan.
Plan the cable run to avoid chafe and keep connections in a dry spot when possible. If you extend the cable, keep the shielding continuous and maintain good sealing at all splices.
Compliance and on-board use
The light is approved to COLREG72 and related marine standards for navigation lighting, with a 1 NM rating for boats under 12 m. It is a good match for small powerboats, RIBs, and sailboats that want a single combined bow light to simplify mounting and reduce holes in the hull or deck while staying within the limits for this size class.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
