Overview
The Lopolight 301-009 Series is a 2 nautical mile red port sidelight with a 112.5° sector and a horizontal mount for vessels from 12 m to 50 m (39.4 ft to 164 ft). It runs on 10 to 32 VDC for 12V and 24V systems, and the housing is sealed to an IP68 rating for wet installs and washdowns.
This is a compact, low-draw LED navigation light that’s fully potted to handle vibration and keep moisture out over time. It’s a good fit when you want a clean port light installation on the side deck, cabin side, or superstructure where a horizontal mount makes more sense than a vertical unit.
Key features
- Red port sidelight with a 2 nautical mile rating and a 112.5° light sector
- 10 to 32 VDC input for use on both 12V and 24V DC systems
- IP68 sealing and fully potted electronics for water exposure and vibration on board
- Precision-machined aluminum housing with finishes that vary by option (anodized or ceramic-coated)
- Pre-cabled connection with a screened, 2-core lead (2 x 0.5 mm² conductors) for straightforward wiring runs
- Compliance with COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, and USCG (UL1104)
- Specified for vessels from 12 m to 50 m (39.4 ft to 164 ft)
Variants
Finish and stack style vary across the range. Finish options include Silver, Black, and White, and the style option is either Single Stack or Double Stack.
Single Stack is a single port sidelight in one housing. Double Stack is a stacked configuration that combines two port sidelight modules in a taller unit, which can matter for mounting space and cable routing where the light sits.
Installation and setup
Mount the light on the port side with a clear view of the required arc, keeping it out of shadows from rails, davits, or canvas. Plan the cable path before drilling so the lead stays protected from chafe and doesn’t end up in a low spot where water can sit.
Electrical and system integration
Wire it to your DC distribution with the red lead to positive and the black lead to ground. On refits, it helps to confirm the supply voltage at the end of the run under load, then seal and strain-relieve the cable where it enters the structure so the connection stays stable in pounding seas.
Materials and sealing
The housing is machined aluminum and the optics use a PMMA light guide. The internal potting and IP68 sealing make it a sensible choice for exposed mounting locations where salt spray, sun, and vibration are part of daily use.
What’s included
- Navigation light, pre-cabled with a 2.5 m marine-grade cable
- Installation instructions
Use on board
This series suits yachts and commercial craft that need a 2 NM port sidelight for coastal cruising, offshore runs, and night approaches when the boat’s nav lighting must be easy to trust at a glance. It also works well on refits where you want an LED port light that fits existing wiring practices and holds up in exposed side-deck installs.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt off the lens and housing as part of normal washdowns, and check that the mount stays tight after the first few trips. If the boat lives outdoors, a quick wipe keeps the lens clear so the light stays crisp at night.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
