Overview
The Lopolight 101-002 Series is a red port sidelight for vessels under 12 m (39.4 ft), with 1 NM visibility and a 112.5° sector for proper port-side navigation lighting.
It runs on 10-32 VDC for 12V and 24V systems and draws about 1.1 W (60 mA at 12 VDC, 32 mA at 24 VDC). The housing is sealed to IP68 and rated for -25°C to 55°C, which suits wet mounting spots and temperature swings on deck.
Overall size is 92.5 x 28 x 49.7 mm and weight is 0.39 kg (13.76 oz). The light is pre-cabled with a 2.5 m shielded marine cable to keep the wiring run tidy from the mounting point back to your nav light switch or DC distribution.
Key features
- Port sidelight with red output, 112.5° arc, and 1 NM visibility for vessels under 12 m (39.4 ft)
- 10-32 VDC operating range for 12V and 24V electrical systems
- Low electrical load at 1.1 W (60 mA at 12 VDC, 32 mA at 24 VDC)
- IP68 sealing to handle spray, rain, and washdowns when mounted in exposed locations
- Pre-wired 2.5 m shielded marine cable; minimum feed wire gauge listed as 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22)
- Operating temperature range of -25°C to 55°C for year-round use
- Measures 92.5 x 28 x 49.7 mm and weighs 0.39 kg (13.76 oz) for easy placement on cabin sides, coamings, and hardtops
Variants
This port sidelight is offered in two housing finishes.
Both listed versions keep the same format for vertical mounting, red output, and overall footprint, so your placement and wiring plan stays consistent.
- 101-002: Finish Silver. A natural match on aluminum structures and lighter gelcoat where you want the light to blend in.
- 101-002-B: Finish Black. A darker housing that suits black rails, painted surfaces, and hardtops where you want the fixture to stay visually low-profile.
What’s included
- Navigation light with pre-wired 2.5 m shielded marine cable
- Installation guide
Installation and setup
Mount on the port side where the lens has a clear line of sight across its 112.5° arc. Avoid positions where bow rails, fenders, rub rails, or canvas can block the light when the boat is loaded or when a sailboat is heeled.
Route the pre-wired cable to your navigation light circuit with strain relief at the fixture and at any pass-through. If you extend the run, keep conductors at least 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22) and use sealed splices in areas that see spray or vibration.
Electrical and system integration
With a 10-32 VDC operating range and low current draw, it fits typical nav light circuits on small DC panels, breakers, and electronic switching modules. Protect the feed with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker for the circuit and the rest of the navigation light run.
Standards and approvals
Approved to COLREG72 and EN14744, with additional approvals listed including IEC 60945, IACS E10, and USCG.
Use on board
This is a practical fit for tenders, RIBs, center consoles, and sailboats under 12 m that need a dedicated port sidelight with minimal power draw. IP68 sealing also makes sense for installations on cabin sides, cockpit coamings, and hardtops where the fixture will see frequent spray.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt off the lens and housing during routine washdowns and check mounting fasteners periodically. Clean the lens with mild soap and water and avoid harsh solvents that can mark acrylic.
Shipping

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
