Overview
The Lopolight 201-013 Series is a 2 NM towing light that shows a 135° yellow (amber) sector and runs on 10 to 32 VDC systems. It is built for vessels in the 20 to 50 m range and is meant for horizontal mounting at the stern where a towing light is required.
All versions use an IP68-sealed housing and come pre-cabled with a 2.5 m shielded marine-grade lead for a clean install through the deck or a mount. The round body measures Ø92.5 mm, with a lower profile single-stack option (36 mm height) and a taller double-stack option (58 mm height).
Key features
- 2 nautical mile visibility with a 135° yellow towing sector
- Wide input voltage: 10 to 32 VDC for 12 V and 24 V systems
- Low power draw: 1.7 W (typical 124 mA at 12 VDC, 71 mA at 24 VDC)
- IP68-rated sealing for exposed stern installations and routine washdowns
- Ø92.5 mm body; 36 mm height on single-stack and 58 mm height on double-stack versions
- FB flat-base mounting system for horizontal installs with centered cable routing
- Anodized aluminum housing with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless fasteners
- Approved to COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, USCG, ABS, M.E.D., DNV, and LR
Variants
This light is offered in multiple configurations to match finish preferences and available mounting height.
Across the range, the output is a 2 NM, 135° yellow towing light for 10 to 32 VDC systems with IP68 sealing and a 2.5 m pre-cabled lead. Finish (silver or black) and stack style (single or double) are the differences between the options.
- 201-013-FB: Finish Silver, Style Single Stack. Uses the lower 36 mm body height when you need a towing light with less vertical profile at the mount.
- 201-013-FB-B: Finish Black, Style Single Stack. Matches darker hardware and paint schemes while keeping the same lower-profile footprint.
- 201-013ST-FB: Finish Silver, Style Double Stack. Adds height (58 mm) for installations where a stacked form factor is required and there is more clearance above the mounting surface.
- 201-013ST-FB-B: Finish Black, Style Double Stack. Keeps the taller stacked form factor while matching black anodized hardware and fittings.
Compatibility and fit
This is a dedicated towing light (yellow) with a 135° sector, intended for stern positioning where towing signals are required. Confirm your vessel length, your required light configuration, and the mounting height you have available before selecting single-stack or double-stack.
Installation and setup
The FB flat base is intended for horizontal mounting and routes the cable through the center for a clean run into the structure. Plan your cable path, seal any deck penetration properly, and mount the light where it has an unobstructed 135° sector over the stern.
Electrical and system integration
Wire the unit to a protected 10 to 32 VDC navigation-light circuit and keep connections sealed in the stern environment. With a typical 1.7 W draw, it is easy to integrate on vessels that run long hours at night without adding meaningful load to the DC system.
Materials and environmental protection
The housing is anodized aluminum with a PMMA lens and stainless fasteners, and the assembly is rated IP68 to keep water out in wet, vibrating, saltwater conditions. Rinse salt buildup during routine washdowns and check fasteners as part of normal lighting inspections.
What’s included

Use cases on board
This light is a solid match for larger yachts and commercial vessels that tow and need a compliant 2 NM towing light at the stern. It also suits owners who want a low-draw LED towing light with a compact round footprint and a choice of silver or black finish.
