Overview
The Lopolight 301-102 Series is a 3 nm red port sidelight for vertical mounting on vessels over 50 m (164 ft). It runs on 10-32 VDC for 12 V and 24 V systems, and the housing is IP68-rated for rain, spray, and washdowns.
Across the range, the light output covers the 112.5° port sidelight sector and comes from a single LED with a fully potted interior to handle vibration and water exposure. Power draw is 2 W (about 150 mA at 12 V and 100 mA at 24 V), which keeps electrical load low for continuous night running.
Key features
- 3 nm visibility with intensity greater than 15 cd, specified for vessels over 50 m (164 ft).
- 10-32 VDC input; 2 W draw with typical current of 150 mA at 12 V and 100 mA at 24 V.
- IP68 sealing and a fully potted interior for water resistance and vibration tolerance.
- Vertical-mount format with a pre-cabled 2.5 m shielded marine-grade cable; minimum feed wire gauge 0.5 mm2 (AWG22).
- Simple DC wiring with red lead for power and black lead for ground.
- Aluminum housing with finish options plus a PMMA lens and A4 stainless mounting screws.
- Operating temperature range from -25°C to 55°C.
- Approved to COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, and USCG (UL1104).
Variants
This series is available with different finishes and housing formats while keeping the same core optical and electrical specification: 3 nm red port sidelight output, 10-32 VDC operation, IP68 sealing, 2 W draw, and a 2.5 m pre-cabled connection.
Finish options include silver anodized, black anodized, and white ceramic coated. Style options include a single-stack housing (92.5 x 28 x 49.7 mm) and a double-stack housing (100 x 100 x 49.7 mm) used where a double port sidelight assembly is specified.
What’s included
- Navigation light, pre-cabled with 2.5 m shielded marine-grade cable
- 2 mounting screws (M6 x 8 mm)
- Installation guide
Installation and setup
Mount the light on the port side in a true vertical orientation so the 112.5° sector lines up correctly with the vessel’s centerline. Use appropriate bedding and sealing around fasteners and cable routing to keep moisture out of the mounting surface, especially on aluminum or composite superstructure panels.
Plan the cable run before fastening the unit down. Keep the cable protected from chafe, heat, and moving gear, and leave a service loop so the light can be removed later without pulling new wire.
Electrical and system integration
The light accepts 10-32 VDC and can be tied into a standard navigation light circuit on 12 V or 24 V boats. Connect the red lead to the switched positive feed and the black lead to DC negative, using proper circuit protection and marine-grade terminations suited to the environment.
With a typical draw of 150 mA at 12 V (100 mA at 24 V), it fits well in multi-light nav circuits on large vessels where load budgeting and cable sizing matter.
Materials and corrosion resistance
The housing is aluminum with anodized or ceramic-coated finish options, paired with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless mounting screws. The electronics are potted, which helps keep water out and supports long-term use on boats that see constant vibration and regular deck washdowns.
Use cases on board
This is a match for superyachts and commercial vessels over 50 m that require 3 nm port sidelights, including refits where you want low current draw and fully sealed construction. The double-stack versions are commonly specified in installations calling for a double port sidelight body while keeping the same voltage range and light output category.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
