Overview
This Attwood Marine adjustable aerator spray head is a side-mount livewell and bait tank outlet for 3/4 in. I.D. hose, built for tanks with a built-in overflow or recirculating system. It helps distribute incoming aerated water inside the tank while giving the installer a compact 90 degree fitting for tight baitwell and livewell spaces.
The rotating head uses an O-ring so the flow setting can be adjusted and held in place during normal boat vibration. A removable head with an interference-fit thread helps keep the spray head from vibrating loose or blowing out, which matters on fishing boats, center consoles, flats boats, and other vessels where the livewell system runs for long periods.
The polypropylene construction suits the wet, rinse-down environment around bait tanks, and the fitting can be installed on tank walls up to 5/8 in. thick. It requires a 1 in. bulkhead hole and is intended for side-wall mounting rather than a loose hose-end installation.
Key features
- Fits 3/4 in. I.D. hose used in many livewell and bait tank plumbing setups.
- Side-mount layout works with livewells that have built-in overflow or recirculating systems.
- 90 degree fitting helps with installation where space behind the tank wall is limited.
- Rotating spray head with an O-ring lets the flow direction be adjusted and held in position.
- Removable head uses an interference-fit thread to help resist loosening from vibration and water pressure.
- Polypropylene construction is suitable for the wet conditions found around bait tanks and livewells.
- Installs through a 1 in. bulkhead hole on tank walls up to 5/8 in. thick.
Variants
This product is offered in two configurations for different livewell plumbing connections.
Both variants serve the same basic role as an adjustable aerator spray head for a 3/4 in. I.D. hose livewell setup. The main difference is the connector style, including one version for use with a Flow-Rite Qwik-Lok Coupler 3 connection.
- 4125-1: Aerator Spray Head. This is the standard adjustable spray head configuration for 3/4 in. I.D. hose installations on the side of a livewell or bait tank.
- 4125-7: Aerator Spray Head with male connector for Flow-Rite Qwik-Lok Coupler 3. This version supports systems already using that Qwik-Lok coupler style, which can help keep the plumbing layout consistent during replacement or refit work.
Installation and fit
Install the spray head through the side wall of the livewell or bait tank, using the 1 in. bulkhead hole requirement and the 5/8 in. maximum wall thickness as the main fit checks. Before ordering, confirm the tank wall thickness, hose size, and the space available behind the tank for the 90 degree fitting.
This part is a good match for boat owners replacing a worn livewell spray head, rebuilding a bait tank plumbing run, or setting up a recirculating livewell system where the water outlet needs to be adjustable from inside the tank.
Use on board
For fishing boats that carry bait or keep catch alive, the adjustable spray head helps control where water enters the tank without changing the pump or hose routing. It is especially useful when the spray direction needs to be fine-tuned after the tank is full and the boat is underway.
