Overview
The Garmin 010-11441-00 is a fixed-mount bracket that clips a compatible handheld GPS to your helm so the screen stays where you can see it while underway. It’s made for Garmin GPS 12H, GPS 73, GPSMAP 78, GPSMAP 78s, and GPSMAP 78sc handheld units.
Once installed, the mount lets you swivel or tilt the device to suit your seating position and the light on the water. A locking mechanism keeps the handheld from bouncing out in chop, and it releases when you want to remove the unit for storage or use off the boat.
Key features
- Compatible with Garmin GPS 12H, GPS 73, GPSMAP 78, GPSMAP 78s, and GPSMAP 78sc handheld GPS units
- Swivel and tilt adjustment so you can set a viewing angle that works at the helm
- Locking cradle helps keep the device seated when the boat is moving
- Release mechanism lets you remove the handheld without unbolting the base
- Fixed-mount format that suits helm consoles, dash panels, and other flat mounting areas
Compatibility and fit
This mount is intended for the handheld models listed above. It’s a physical mounting solution for keeping a portable GPS in a consistent spot, so it works well whether the handheld is your primary navigator on a small boat or a backup on a larger vessel.
Before drilling, confirm you have clearance to clip the unit in and out and that the swivel range won’t interfere with steering, throttles, or instrument covers.
Installation and setup
Mount the base on a solid, flat section of the helm where it can be reached from the operating position. On open boats, placing it where it’s protected from foot traffic and hard gear helps prevent accidental bumps when moving around the cockpit.
Use fasteners that match your mounting surface and follow good sealing practice for any holes through a dash or console to help keep water out of the core and wiring space.
Use cases on board
This mount is a good match for skippers who run with a handheld GPS on a center console, tiller boat, RIB, kayak support boat, or small sailboat, and want the screen secured and readable at the helm. It also makes sense for crews who keep a handheld ready as a backup navigator and want it clipped in place instead of sliding around in a pocket or cup holder.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the mount with fresh water after saltwater use and check the mounting hardware periodically for loosening from vibration. If the lock or release feels gritty, a simple rinse usually clears out salt and spray residue before it starts to bind.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
