Overview
The Lopolight 201-011 Series is a 3 NM masthead (steaming) navigation light that shows a 225° white sector for vessels 12 to 20 m (39.4 to 65.6 ft) and mounts on vertical surfaces.
It runs on 10 to 32 VDC (works on 12V and 24V systems), is IP68 rated for exposed mounting, and comes precabled with a 0.75 m shielded lead to simplify wiring runs inside a mast, hardtop, or radar arch.
Approvals include COLREG72, EN14744, USCG, IEC 60945, and IACS E10, which helps when you are matching a replacement light to an existing compliance setup.
Key features
- 3 NM visibility with a 225° white masthead sector for boats 12 to 20 m (39.4 to 65.6 ft)
- Vertical-mount format for common masthead and superstructure placements
- Wide input range (10 to 32 VDC) for 12V and 24V DC systems
- IP68 sealing for rain, spray, and washdowns when installed with proper bedding and cable routing
- Housing finish options: Silver anodized, Black anodized, or White ceramic coated
- Aluminum housing with PMMA lens and stainless mounting screws specified for the installation
- Single Stack and Double Stack styles to match different masthead-light arrangements in one mounting location
Variants
The 201-011 Series is offered in two styles: Single Stack and Double Stack. Both are vertical-mount masthead lights with a 225° white sector and a 3 NM rating.
Finish varies across the range (Silver, Black, or White) to match mast hardware and topside color schemes. Electrical input and sealing are consistent across the series, so selection is mainly about exterior finish and whether you need a single or double light stack at the mounting point.
Compatibility and fit
This is a masthead (steaming) light, so placement matters. Mount it high and centered where the 225° sector can project forward without being blocked by sails, antennas, biminis, or radar gear.
Before ordering, confirm your vessel length and required light configuration under the rules you operate to, and verify that a 225° masthead sector is the correct function for that position on your boat.
Installation and wiring
Mount the fixture plumb on the vertical surface and align it so the lens faces forward. Route the cable down with a drip loop before it enters the mast or cabin to reduce water migration along the wire.
Connect to a switched DC circuit within the 10 to 32 VDC range. Use tinned marine-grade conductors and sealed terminations, and protect the circuit with a correctly sized fuse or breaker for your wiring plan and standards.
Materials and corrosion resistance
The housing is aluminum with the exterior finish depending on the variant, and the light is sealed to an IP68 level. For saltwater boats, avoid trapping water behind the fixture, bed fasteners as you would with other deck hardware, and keep dissimilar metals isolated where needed.
Use cases on board
This series suits sailboats and powerboats in the 12 to 20 m range that need a vertical-mount masthead light for night running, channel transits, and low-visibility operation. The Double Stack variants integrate two light modules in one housing for installations that call for a stacked masthead-light arrangement.
