Overview
The Lopolight 201-003 Series is a combined red and green sidelight with a 2 nautical mile range for vessels up to 20 m (65.6 ft). It runs on 10 to 32 VDC, so it fits 12 V and 24 V systems, and it mounts horizontally as a single fixture instead of separate port and starboard lights.
It is sealed to IP68 and built around a silver anodized aluminum housing with a PMMA lens. The body is about 92.5 mm in diameter and 36 mm high, and it is supplied with a 2.5 m shielded cable for routing to a nav light switch or lighting panel.
When installed, it needs a clear sightline and correct orientation so red shows to port and green shows to starboard, with each sector covering 112.5 degrees. The series includes a standard orientation and an upside-down orientation for installations where the light must be mounted inverted while keeping the light sectors correct.
Key features
- Combined red/green sidelight in one fixture (112.5 degrees per color sector)
- 2 nautical mile rated visibility for vessels up to 20 m (65.6 ft)
- 10 to 32 VDC input for 12 V and 24 V electrical systems
- IP68 sealing for rain, spray, and washdowns
- Silver anodized aluminum housing with PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel screws
- 2.5 m shielded cable for clean routing through the bow, pulpit, or deck structure
- Approved to COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, and recognized by USCG (with additional approvals depending on installation requirements)
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations with the same basic function: a combined red/green sidelight for horizontal mounting.
The difference between the options listed here is the mounting orientation (standard vs upside-down). Other installation details should be matched to the specific part number.
- 201-003 (Style: Standard). A standard orientation that suits typical horizontal mounting locations where the light sits upright.
- 201-003-FB-REVERSE (Style: Upside-Down). An inverted orientation for horizontal mounts where the fixture must be installed upside-down while keeping the port and starboard sectors correct.
Installation and setup
Mount the light on a horizontal surface where it cannot be blocked by pulpits, anchor rollers, rails, or deck gear. Alignment matters: the fixture must be oriented so the correct color shows to the correct side of the vessel, and it should face the intended direction of travel.
Plan your cable run before drilling. Route the 2.5 m lead to a protected interior space, use a drip loop where it passes through the deck, and seal any fastener holes and cable pass-throughs to keep water out of the core.
Electrical and system integration
This light is made for DC systems from 10 to 32 volts. Wire it on a properly fused navigation light circuit and size wiring for the length of the run; 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22) is a minimum feed wire gauge, and longer runs often benefit from heavier cable to reduce voltage drop.
Power draw is 2.2 W, with current consumption around 163 mA at 12 VDC and 90 mA at 24 VDC, which keeps load low on typical nav lighting circuits.
Materials and environmental protection
The anodized aluminum body and IP68 sealing suit open-deck mounting where salt spray and washdowns are normal. Rinse salt off periodically, keep the lens clean, and avoid abrasive cleaners that can haze the PMMA lens over time.
Use on board
A combined sidelight is a practical choice when you want one fixture on the bow rather than separate port and starboard units, while still meeting the required red and green sectors. It suits sailboats and powerboats up to 20 m where a horizontal mounting location is available and the light can remain unobstructed.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
