Overview
The Lopolight 301-006 Series is a 2 NM white stern navigation light with a 135 degree sector and a vertical mount for vessels up to 50 m (164 ft). It runs on 10-32V DC and draws about 1.3 W (110 mA at 12V DC, 50 mA at 24V DC), which keeps the load light on typical 12V or 24V nav-light circuits.
The housing footprint is compact at 86.2 x 28 x 57.75 mm, making it easier to fit on a transom face, aft bulkhead, or another flat vertical surface where the stern sector has a clear view. The assembly is sealed to IP68 for wet stern conditions and washdowns, and it uses an anodized aluminum housing with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel mounting screws.
Key features
- 2 NM white stern light with a 135 degree sector for vessels up to 50 m (164 ft)
- Vertical surface mount with a compact body (86.2 x 28 x 57.75 mm)
- 10-32V DC input for both 12V and 24V systems
- Low electrical load at about 1.3 W (110 mA at 12V DC, 50 mA at 24V DC)
- IP68 sealing for spray, rain, and washdowns around the stern
- Anodized aluminum housing (silver or black) with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel mounting hardware
- Pre-attached cable in 6 m or 10 m lengths; minimum feed wire gauge 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22)
Variants
This stern light is offered in a few configurations that change the housing finish and the factory cable length.
Across the range, the light output and electrical specs stay consistent: 2 NM visibility, a 135 degree white stern sector, vertical mounting, 10-32V DC input, IP68 sealing, and the same overall dimensions. The differences are the finish and how much cable is supplied for routing back to your nav-light circuit.
- 301-006-6M: Silver finish, 6 m cable. A straightforward option for many installs where the run to the nav switch or junction point is moderate and you want to avoid adding extensions.
- 301-006-B-6M: Black finish, 6 m cable. Useful when you want the light to blend with darker paint, hardware, or an aft structure while keeping the same cable reach.
- 301-006 10M: Silver finish, 10 m cable. Helps on longer cable routes through an arch, tower, or larger aft sections where extra slack makes clean routing easier.
Installation and setup
Mount the light on a flat vertical surface at the stern with the sector aimed aft and unobstructed by rails, davits, outboards, or a swim platform. Keep the cable run supported and protected from chafe, especially where it passes through the transom or into lockers, and seal any penetrations to prevent water intrusion.
The supplied mounting screws are M6 x 8 mm. If your mounting surface requires different fasteners or backing hardware, match the thread and use stainless hardware suitable for the structure.
Electrical and system integration
Wire the light into a 10-32V DC navigation-light circuit (12V or 24V). With a low current draw, it typically fits comfortably on existing nav-light breakers and switches, but the circuit should still be protected and wired to marine practices for your vessel.
If you need to shorten or splice the cable, make the connection in a dry, accessible location using sealed connectors or a watertight junction, and keep splices out of bilge water paths and high-splash areas.
Compliance and operating limits
Approved to COLREG72 and EN14744, with additional approvals including IEC 60945, IACS E10, USCG, ABS, M.E.D., DNV, and LR. Operating temperature range is -25°C to 55°C.
What’s included
- Navigation light with attached cable (length depends on variant)
- 2 mounting screws (M6 x 8 mm)
- Installation guide
Use on board
This is a practical fit for powerboats and sailboats that need a compact stern light on a vertical face at the transom or aft superstructure. It also suits refits where low draw and an extended factory cable help tidy up the wiring run back to the nav-light switch panel.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
