Overview
The Lopolight 200-018 Series is a 2 NM, 180° green navigation light for vertical mounting, built for vessels up to 50 m (164 ft) and wired to 10-32 VDC (12 V or 24 V systems). It draws about 1.5 W (145 mA at 12 V, 60 mA at 24 V) and carries an IP68 rating for exposed mounting locations.
The housing is anodized aluminum with a PMMA lens, and the electronics are potted to handle spray and vibration. The footprint is roughly 104 mm wide by 46 mm deep, which helps when you are fitting it on a cabin side, bulwark, or other tight vertical surface.
Single stack versions house one light element. Double stack versions combine two independent light elements in one stacked body, which makes it possible to wire a primary and a backup circuit at the same mounting point.
Key features
- 2 NM visibility with a 180° green sector for certified navigation signaling
- Vertical-mount form factor with compact dimensions for tight mounting locations
- 10-32 VDC input for 12 V and 24 V systems, with low draw at 1.5 W
- IP68-rated sealing for heavy spray and washdowns
- Anodized aluminum body with PMMA lens, plus potted electronics for water and vibration resistance
- Supplied pre-cabled with a 6 m lead; minimum feed wire gauge 0.5 mm² (AWG 22)
- Compliance markings for COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, and USCG (UL1104)
Variants
This light is offered in two finishes and two stack styles.
Finish changes the exterior appearance (silver or black). Style changes whether the unit contains one light element (single stack) or two independent light elements (double stack). These part numbers are supplied pre-cabled with a 6 m lead.
- 200-018G2: Finish Silver, Style Single Stack. A single 180° green light element in one housing for a straightforward one-circuit install.
- 200-018G2-B: Finish Black, Style Single Stack. The same single-light format with a black anodized housing that blends into dark rails, hardtops, and window frames.
- 200-018G2ST: Finish Silver, Style Double Stack. Two independent light elements in one stacked housing so you can separate primary and backup circuits without adding a second mounting location.
- 200-018G2ST-B: Finish Black, Style Double Stack. The same two-light stacked format with a black housing for low-contrast installations.
What’s included
- Navigation light with pre-attached cable
- Mounting hardware
- Installation guide
Installation and setup
Mount the light on a flat, vertical surface where the 180° sector is not blocked by rails, canvas, or deck hardware. Plan the cable routing before drilling, and seal any penetrations to keep water out of the structure.
As with any navigation light, placement matters. Confirm the mounting location and aiming so the light’s sector is presented correctly relative to the vessel’s heading and other running lights.
Electrical and system integration
Wire the unit to a switched 10-32 VDC circuit and protect it with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker for the circuit. The load is small (about 1.5 W), but keep connections clean and dry and follow normal marine wiring practices.
On double stack versions, the two light elements are independent, which supports separate switching and redundancy when your lighting plan calls for it.
Who it fits
This is a good match for boats and yachts that need a certified 2 NM green 180° light in a compact vertical-mount package, especially when you want low current draw on 12 V or 24 V systems. The double stack style suits installations where a backup light circuit is required without adding extra fixtures on deck.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt off the lens and housing after runs, and inspect the cable exit and mounting screws during routine checks. If the lens gets film or grime, clean it with mild soap and water to keep the sector crisp at night.
