Overview
The Lopolight 301-106 Series is a 3 NM white stern navigation light with a 135° sector, built for vertical mounting and supplied with a 6 m hardwired cable.
It runs on 10-32 VDC so it fits 12 V and 24 V systems, and power draw is 1.7 W (about 130 mA at 12 VDC and 72 mA at 24 VDC). The enclosure is IP68 rated for wet transoms and washdowns, intensity is greater than 15 cd, and the body measures Ø92.5 mm x 96.5 mm.
This is a double stern light configuration in a single housing and is specified for vessels over 50 m.
Key features
- 3 NM visibility, white 135° stern sector
- Vertical mount format for transoms and aft superstructure faces
- 10-32 VDC input for 12 V and 24 V systems
- Low draw: 1.7 W (130 mA @ 12 VDC, 72 mA @ 24 VDC)
- IP68-rated enclosure for spray and routine washdowns
- 6 m fixed cable for clean routing inside the stern
- Body size: Ø92.5 mm x 96.5 mm
- Approvals: COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, USCG, ABS, M.E.D., DNV, LR
Variants
This stern light is offered in multiple configurations where the housing finish changes while the function stays the same.
Both versions are white 3 NM, 135°, vertical mount units with a 6 m cable, IP68 sealing, and 10-32 VDC operation.
- 301-106ST 6M: Finish Silver. A silver anodized housing that blends with stainless and aluminum rails, arches, and transom fittings.
- 301-106ST-B 6M: Finish Black. A black anodized housing that sits low visually on dark transoms and painted aft structures.
Compatibility and fit
The 301-106 Series stern light carries a 3 NM rating and is specified for vessels over 50 m. It is intended for installations where a higher-visibility stern light is required and where the aft mounting location sees regular spray, vibration, and handling.
Installation and setup
Mount the light on the stern where it has an uninterrupted 135° arc centered on the vessel’s centerline. Keep it clear of davits, antennas, boarding ladders, and other aft gear that can shadow the sector when the boat is trimmed or loaded.
The unit is built for vertical mounting. Route the 6 m cable inside the structure where possible and protect it at every pass-through with a proper watertight gland or cable seal.
Electrical and system integration
Connect to a 10-32 VDC supply and protect the circuit with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker for the run. The minimum feed wire gauge listed is 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22); for longer runs, upsizing the conductor helps keep voltage drop down.
Materials and environmental rating
The housing uses anodized aluminum with a 25 µ finish, a PMMA lens, and A4 stainless steel screws. Sealing is IP68 rated, and the unit is specified for -25°C to 55°C operating temperatures.
Use on board
This model is a good match for larger yachts and commercial vessels that need a 3 NM stern light on an exposed transom or aft superstructure where washdowns and spray are routine.
