Overview

The Perko 0499DP0CHR is a water inlet fitting for bringing pressurized dockside water into a boat's freshwater system through a 1/2 inch NPT connection. It uses a standard female swivel hose connector at the inlet, and the flange has a 2-3/4 inch outside diameter with a #8 screw mounting pattern.

The body is chrome-plated bronze, and the inlet closes with a black watertight plug on a stainless steel bead chain. That gives the fitting a clean way to stay sealed when the hose is disconnected, while keeping the plug attached instead of loose in a locker or cockpit box.

Installation and fit

This fitting is used for a dedicated dockside water connection, not as a deck fill for pouring water into a tank. Before ordering, check that your plumbing run is set up for a 1/2 inch NPT connection, confirm the flange footprint, and make sure there is enough room outside the mounting surface for the hose connector to thread on and turn freely.

It works well on boats that spend regular time in marinas and want a fixed water inlet instead of feeding a temporary hose through a hatch or portlight. For cruisers, liveaboards, and other boats with frequent dock stays, it gives the water hookup a cleaner and more permanent finish.
