Overview
This Lopolight tri-color navigation light is a masthead unit for sailboats under 12 m, providing 1 NM visibility with separate red (112.5°), green (112.5°), and white (135°) sectors. It runs on 10 to 32 VDC, is sealed to IP68, and mounts horizontally on an FB flat base with a Ø92.5 mm footprint.
The light is built around an anodized aluminum housing with an acrylic lens, with the interior potted to handle vibration and keep water out. A 0.75 m pre-attached marine cable is provided, with red for positive and black for ground, plus a screened jacket for cleaner routing up a mast.
Key features
- 1 NM tri-color masthead light for boats under 12 m, with sector coverage of 112.5° green, 112.5° red, and 135° white
- 10 to 32 VDC input for common 12 V and 24 V systems
- IP68 sealing for rain, spray, and washdowns
- FB flat base with Ø92.5 mm outside diameter and 3 mounting points; can be fastened from the top or from the underside depending on access
- Pre-cabled with 0.75 m marine cable with screen; red is positive and black is ground
- Anodized finish options: 20µ silver anodized or 50µ black anodized
Variants
This light is offered in multiple configurations that share the same tri-color function and FB flat-base mounting style.
The finish changes between variants (silver anodized or black anodized); fit and wiring approach remain the same.
- 101-005-FB: Finish Silver. A bright anodized look that pairs well with aluminum spars and stainless deck hardware.
- 101-005-FB-B: Finish Black. A darker anodized look that stays visually low-profile on black masts and modern rigging packages.
Installation and setup
Mount this light at the masthead where it has a clear view of the horizon and is not shadowed by antennas, wind instruments, or backstays. The FB base allows fastening from above with three holes, or from below using threaded mounting points, which helps when you want a clean top surface and can reach the underside.
On deck, bed the base properly and route the cable through a sealed gland or spar conduit so water cannot track down the wire. Align the light carefully to the vessel centerline so the red and green sectors show correctly to port and starboard.
Electrical and system integration
This unit is a straightforward two-wire DC connection: red to switched positive and black to DC negative, with the screened cable helping reduce noise pickup in long mast runs. It is typically wired to a dedicated navigation-light switch position so the tri-color masthead light is used in the correct operating mode for your setup.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
