Overview
The Lopolight 301-005 Series is a 2 NM white stern navigation light (135°) for horizontal mounting with an FB (flat base) POM mounting system.
It runs on 10-32 VDC for 12 V and 24 V boats, with a 1.3 W draw (about 110 mA at 12 VDC and 50 mA at 24 VDC). Each configuration is supplied pre-cabled with a 2.5 m shielded marine-grade lead for straightforward tie-in to your navigation light circuit.
The enclosure is IP68 and built around an anodized aluminum body with a PMMA lens, which suits exposed stern locations that see spray, vibration, and regular washdowns. Approvals cover COLREG72 and USCG requirements for vessels up to 50 m (164 ft), along with EN14744, IEC 60945, and IACS E10.
Key features
- 2 NM white stern light with a 135° sector for vessels up to 50 m (164 ft)
- 10-32 VDC input for 12 V and 24 V electrical systems
- IP68 sealing for wet stern installations and washdowns
- Pre-cabled 2.5 m shielded marine-grade lead; minimum feed wire gauge 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22)
- Horizontal mounting with FB (flat base) POM mounting system
- 1.3 W power draw (about 110 mA @ 12 VDC, 50 mA @ 24 VDC)
- Operating temperature range: -25°C to 55°C
Variants
This stern light is offered in multiple configurations so you can match both the housing profile and the exterior finish around your mounting point.
Style is the main physical difference: Single Stack is Ø92.5 mm x 36 mm, while Double Stack is Ø92.5 mm x 58 mm. Across the range, the light output, voltage range (10-32 VDC), IP68 sealing, horizontal FB base mounting, and 2.5 m pre-cabled connection remain consistent.
- 301-005-FB: Style Single Stack, Finish Silver. The lower 36 mm profile keeps the light close to the mounting surface when space is tight on a transom cap or stern rail base.
- 301-005-FB-B: Style Single Stack, Finish Black. Same low-profile Single Stack body with a black finish that blends in on dark rails, arches, and transoms.
- 301-005ST-FB: Style Double Stack, Finish Silver. The taller 58 mm body can help when the mounting point sits near rails or hardware that would otherwise encroach on the lens area.
- 301-005ST-FB-B: Style Double Stack, Finish Black. Double Stack height with a black finish for installations where you want the light to visually disappear against darker trim.

Installation and wiring
Mount the light so it has a clear, unobstructed view aft across the full 135° arc. On many boats this is on the transom, on the aft end of a hardtop, or on a stern rail base where the lens is not shadowed by antennas, rod holders, davits, or fenders.
Plan the wire run so the connection stays dry and supported. Extend the supplied lead using tinned copper conductors and sealed splices, and keep a drip loop where the cable enters lockers or lazarettes. The current draw is low, but circuit protection should still follow your vessel’s wiring plan and standards.
Materials and corrosion resistance
The body is anodized aluminum with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless fasteners. With an IP68 seal, it fits well on stern locations that see salt spray and routine cockpit washdowns, as long as the mounting surface is flat and properly bedded.
On-board use
This is a good match for cruising sailboats and powerboats that need a 2 NM stern light and want one unit that works across 10-32 VDC. It also suits fishing boats where stern gear and spray are common, provided the mounting spot keeps the 135° sector clear.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
