Overview
The Perko Lightship 50 is a high performance LED deck and spreader light range for boats that need serious working light in a compact fixed fixture. It delivers approximately 7,500 lumens at 12VDC with 5000K neutral white optics, giving a clean light color that works well for deck tasks, docking, rigging, and nighttime checks around the vessel.
This series is available in flood and spot beam versions, with white or black housings to match the mounting area. The flood version uses an 80 degree beam angle for wider deck coverage, while the spot version uses a 20 degree beam angle for a more focused throw.
The fixture works with 12VDC, 24VDC, and 32VDC systems using auto detect voltage input. It measures 7.0 inches x 5.5 inches x 1.9 inches with the bracket, weighs 2.3 lb, and carries an IP68 water resistance rating for exposed marine locations.
Key features
- Approximately 7,500 lumens at 12VDC for strong working light on deck, at the mast, or around the cockpit.
- 5000K neutral white optics help keep color appearance natural when working with lines, hardware, gear, or fish at night.
- Flood and spot beam options cover different lighting needs, with 80 degree flood and 20 degree spot versions.
- Auto detect input supports 12VDC, 24VDC, and 32VDC vessel electrical systems.
- Current draw is 3.8A at 12VDC and 1.9A at 24VDC, with total power consumption of 50 watts at 12VDC.
- IP68 certified water resistance suits exposed mounting areas that may see spray, rain, and washdowns.
- Rated for a temperature range of -40°C to 55°C and vibration resistance to MIL-STD-202G.
- Marine grade aluminum mounting bracket is included for fixed installation.
- Designed and assembled in the USA, with a 5 year limited warranty and a 10 year limited warranty on the light engine assembly.
Variants
The Lightship 50 is offered in four configurations. The available options change by housing color and beam type, so the fixture can be matched to the boat’s finish and the type of light pattern needed at the mounting location.
The core electrical specifications, output rating, 5000K optics, dimensions, IP68 water resistance, and included mounting bracket are consistent across the Lightship 50 range.
- 1643050F0W: White housing with flood beam. This version spreads light across a wider area, which suits deck work, cockpit coverage, and general illumination around the boat.
- 1643050S0W: White housing with spot beam. This version concentrates the beam for a narrower field of light when reach and focus matter more than wide coverage.
- 1643050F0B: Black housing with flood beam. This version gives wide coverage while pairing visually with darker hardtops, arches, towers, and powder coated mounting areas.
- 1643050S0B: Black housing with spot beam. This version gives a focused light pattern with a black housing for installations where a darker fixture blends better with the boat.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location around the beam type. A flood beam is better for lighting a work area close to the fixture, while a spot beam is better when the light needs to project farther in a narrower pattern. Common mounting points include a hardtop, radar arch, tower, mast, cabin top, or other rigid surface with a clean wiring path.
The fixture should be connected to a properly protected DC circuit that matches the vessel’s electrical system. Because the Lightship 50 draws 3.8A at 12VDC and consumes 50 watts at 12VDC, wire size, circuit protection, and switch capacity should be checked during installation.
Marine use and environment
The IP68 rating, wide temperature range, and vibration resistance make this light a practical fit for exposed areas where salt spray, rain, engine vibration, and repeated washdowns are part of normal use. It is well suited to fishing boats, cruising boats, workboats, and sailboats that need dependable deck illumination after dark.
For best long term results, rinse the fixture with fresh water after saltwater exposure and inspect the bracket, fasteners, wiring entry, and sealant during routine maintenance. Keeping the lens area clean helps preserve useful light output on night runs and dockside work.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
