Overview
The Lumitec 101684 is a Pico S8 expansion module that brings up to eight physical switches into a POCO digital lighting control system. It runs on 10 to 30 VDC for 12V and 24V boats, and the IP67-rated housing helps it tolerate damp locations behind a helm or switch panel.
This module monitors up to eight SPST switch inputs, including toggle, rocker, and momentary types, then uses those switch events to trigger POCO actions. It is a practical way to keep hard switches at the helm, in the cabin, or at an upper station while still using digital scenes and commands through the POCO system, even when an MFD is on another screen or turned off.
Key features
- Supports up to 8 SPST switch inputs and lets each input be set up for toggle or momentary behavior
- Works with POCO 3 or newer so physical switches can trigger POCO actions and virtual switch commands
- 10 to 30 VDC input range for both 12V and 24V DC electrical systems
- IP67-rated enclosure for marine environments where spray and washdowns are part of normal life
- Compact footprint for console and panel installs: 2.6 in tall, 1.9 in wide, 0.52 in deep
- Up to four Pico S8 modules can be configured to a single POCO for expanded switch coverage across the boat
- Rated for -31°F to 131°F operating temperatures in typical on-board spaces
Compatibility and fit
This is a control and input module for the Lumitec POCO lighting control ecosystem. It is not a stand-alone lighting controller and it is not meant to power lighting loads directly. The eight channels are switch inputs with a 0.25A maximum per channel, which is appropriate for sensing switch states and related low-current signaling.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location around two things: easy wire runs to your switch bank and a reasonable path back to the POCO module. The white housing fits cleanly inside a helm console, flybridge station, or cabin switch panel area, and the onboard indicator LED is helpful during commissioning.
After wiring and powering the module, setup is handled in the POCO configuration menu under the Automation area. Once discovered, each switch input can be defined and then mapped to the POCO actions you want, such as calling scenes or controlling specific lighting groups.
Use cases on board
This module is a good match for boats that want the convenience of digital lighting control without giving up familiar physical switches. It is commonly used to add hard controls for cockpit lighting, spreader lights, courtesy zones, or utility lighting so the crew can still reach for a switch when underway, docking, or moving around at night.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
