Overview

The TACO Marine GSE-1939 is a pre-drilled T-top extrusion plate kit made for installing Grand Slam outrigger bases into a boat T-top. It gives fabricators and installers a ready mounting surface for Grand Slam 200, 300 and 400/500 series bases, while also helping organize wiring runs inside the T-top structure.

Each plate uses heavy duty aluminum construction with a 320 Grit Brite Anodized finish. The extrusion is channeled so wiring for outrigger controls, antennas, electronics boxes or other top-mounted gear can be routed more cleanly through the T-top area.

Variants

This T-top extrusion plate is offered in two length configurations for different T-top layouts and mounting spans.

The length changes by variant, while both listed configurations share the same 320 Grit Brite Anodized finish, pre-drilled GS mount layout and pair packaging.

• GSE-1939BSA20: 20 inch length. This size works for T-top installations where the mounting area is more compact and a shorter extrusion plate is the right fit for the frame layout.
• GSE-1939BSA30-C: 30 inch length. This longer plate gives more span for T-top fabrication where the outrigger base location or accessory layout calls for additional plate length.

Installation and setup

This plate is intended for welded T-top applications. Once the extrusion is welded into the T-top, the pre-drilled pattern allows the Grand Slam base to be installed without laying out and drilling the mounting holes at that stage of the job.

Before installation, match the plate length to the available span, planned outrigger base position and any wiring path through the top. This is especially useful on fishing boats where the T-top may also carry electronics boxes, antennas, lighting and outrigger controls in the same overhead area.

Compatibility and fit

The GSE-1939 extrusion plate is sized for TACO Marine Grand Slam 200, 300 and 400/500 series bases. It is a practical match for center consoles and other sport fishing boats being built or refit with T-top mounted outriggers.

Because this is a fabrication component, final fit depends on the T-top tubing layout, the outrigger base model and the installer’s planned mounting position. Confirm the available mounting span and clearance before welding the plates into place.
