Overview
The Hella Marine RokLUME 280 is a 56W LED floodlight for deck and spreader mounting that produces 4,400 lumens of 5000K daylight white on 12V and 24V DC systems. It is built for real work on board, with beam options that keep light where you need it when docking, handling lines, or working a cockpit and foredeck at night.
The housing is aluminium with a NanoSafe coating that stays easier to wipe clean after salt, grime, and exhaust film. Sealing is rated IP6K8 and IP6K9K for protection against dust, prolonged water immersion, and high-pressure washdowns. Plan around its physical size of 143 mm wide x 133 mm high x 85 mm deep and a weight of 1.07 kg, and note the DT socket connection with a counter plug supplied for a clean, serviceable install.

Variants
This floodlight is offered in multiple configurations based on beam pattern.
The difference between variants is the beam pattern (Close Range vs Long Range); light color (5000K), output (4,400 lumens), power draw (56W), and 12V and 24V DC operation remain the same.
- 995606501: Beam pattern Close Range. This pattern spreads light across nearby working areas like the cockpit, foredeck, and around the boat at the dock.
- 995606511: Beam pattern Long Range. This pattern pushes light farther down the deck or out from a higher mounting point when you need more reach.
Installation and setup
Set the bracket on a solid mounting surface and leave room to aim the light without the housing or cable fouling nearby hardware. For spreader or hardtop installs, aim it to cover the work area while keeping glare out of the helm and out of the crew’s sightlines.
Electrical and system integration
Wire it into a 12V or 24V DC circuit with a proper switch and overcurrent protection sized for the circuit and wiring run. The DT connection helps keep the harness tidy, and it is worth planning strain relief and cable routing so the connector is supported and service access stays simple.
Materials and corrosion resistance
The NanoSafe coated aluminium housing and stainless bracket are suited to saltwater exposure and regular washdowns. A quick fresh-water rinse after salty runs and occasional wipe-down helps keep the light output clean and the hardware looking good over time.
On-board use
This is a strong fit for boats that spend time docking at night, working lines, loading gear, or running night fishing routines where daylight white output helps you see true color on deck. It also suits crews that want a sealed light that can live outside full-time and tolerate washdowns without babying it.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
