Overview

The Garmin 010-02690-00 is a 9 inch chartplotter and sonar combo that comes preloaded with Garmin Navionics+ Canada inland and coastal mapping and includes a GT56 transducer.

On the charting side, it covers over 8,100 Canadian lakes with 1 foot contours, so you can line up contours, points, and drop-offs without guessing. On the sonar side, the included transducer supports Garmin traditional sonar along with ClearVü and SideVü scanning, so you can work structure below the boat and see out to the sides from the same display.

It also supports LiveScope sonar, and it can share sonar, waypoints, and routes wirelessly with compatible chartplotters. Multi-band GPS tightens up position fixes when you are moving between tight shorelines, docks, and channels.

Installation and setup

This unit can be bracket-mounted at the helm or console, or flush-mounted for a cleaner dash. Before drilling, confirm you have clearance for cable bends and service access behind the mounting surface, and plan a cable route that stays protected from chafe and standing water.

Power it from a properly fused electronics circuit and keep splices out of damp voids. If your boat sees a lot of washdown spray, take the time to secure the harness and seal any pass-throughs so the back of the console stays dry.

Sonar and transducer setup

The GT56 transducer is commonly transom-mounted, and placement matters. Pick a spot that stays in clean water at speed and sits away from strakes, steps, and anything that throws bubbles across the face of the transducer. A little time spent on alignment usually pays off in better bottom tracking and cleaner SideVü returns.

Route the transducer cable with gentle bends, keep it away from ignition leads and high-current wiring where possible, and secure it so it cannot slap in vibration or wave action.

On-board integration

If you already have a compatible NMEA 2000 backbone on the boat, this chartplotter can share data with other connected equipment, which helps keep navigation, sensor data, and system info in one place. Wireless features also make it easier to move waypoints and routes between compatible displays without pulling cards or cables.

Use cases on board

This setup makes sense for anglers running inland lakes and nearshore coastal water who want charting and SideVü style scanning on a 9 inch screen, plus the option to step into LiveScope later. It is also a good fit for boats where the helm needs a clear touch interface but you still want physical keys available when the ride gets busy.

We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
