Overview
The Vimar Eikon is a coaxial TV-RD-SAT socket outlet for bringing TV, radio, and satellite signals to a cabin TV, stereo, or receiver across the 5-2400 MHz band.
It snaps into an Eikon modular mounting plate and uses a male coax connector on the front, with no cover supplied. Single-connection versions are end sockets with 1 dB connection attenuation and they can pass d.c. current and control signals up to 24 V 500 mA max. Through-line versions are loop-through sockets with 10 dB connection attenuation and they are not suitable for remote power supply.
Key features
- TV-RD-SAT coax outlet rated for 5-2400 MHz distribution (terrestrial TV, radio, and satellite IF ranges)
- Two wiring styles available: end socket (single connection) or loop-through (through-line) for daisy-chained coax runs
- Single connection: suitable for remote power supply, with d.c. and control signal pass-through up to 24 V 500 mA max
- Through-line: specified through loss of 2.20 dB at 860 MHz and 3.40 dB at 2150 MHz, with tap loss of 10.60 dB at 860 MHz and 9.90 dB at 2150 MHz
- Snap mounting (engagement) fastening for quick fit into the mounting support
- Plastic mechanism with no cover, intended to pair with the matching Eikon frame and cover plate
Variants
Finish options include Grey (RAL 7024 similar), White (RAL 9016 similar), and Silver (RAL 9022 similar). The finish changes the visible color once installed in an Eikon plate.
Outlet style varies between Single connection and Through-line. Single connection is an end socket and it supports remote power feed with d.c. and control signal pass-through up to 24 V 500 mA max. Through-line is a loop-through socket for continuing the coax run to the next outlet, with defined through and tap losses and no remote power supply capability.
Compatibility and fit
This is an insert for Vimar Eikon wiring devices. Plan for the matching Eikon frame and the TV-RD-SAT cover plate, since the socket mechanism is supplied without a cover.
On a boat, it belongs in a protected interior location such as the saloon, cabins, or nav station. It is not a sealed bulkhead connector, so it should stay out of areas that see direct spray or regular washdowns.
Installation and setup
Route the coax with gentle bends and leave enough slack so vibration and hull movement do not load the connector. For through-line installs, identify the incoming feed and the continuation cable before closing the panel so the signal path stays correct across the run.
Where a masthead amplifier, active splitter, or control voltage needs to pass through the outlet, confirm the system remains within the 24 V 500 mA max limit supported by the single-connection versions.
Use cases on board
This outlet is a good match for boats running a shared TV antenna, marina cable feed, or satellite receiver to multiple locations. It also suits refits where the interior already uses Vimar Eikon plates and you want the TV, radio, and satellite points to match the rest of the switchgear.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
