Overview
The Vimar Eikon 20212 is a French-standard 2P+E SICURY socket outlet rated 16 A at 250 V~ in a 2-module format for flush mounting. It is a single outlet for 50-60 Hz AC systems with enhanced contact protection and an IP20 rating, so it belongs in dry interior areas on board.
On a boat this is typically used where you want a familiar French plug point on a 230 V distribution fed from shore power, an inverter, or an onboard generator. It works well at a nav station, in a cabin, or in the saloon, where the outlet is protected from spray and washdowns.
The body is thermoplastic with a matt surface finish and it is halogen free. Allow for the device footprint behind the plate: 44.8 mm wide, 49.0 mm high, and 35.9 mm deep.
Key features
- French 2P+E socket format for Type E plugs, 1 outlet in a 2-module Eikon device size.
- Electrical rating: 16 A, 250 V~ AC, 50-60 Hz.
- SICURY enhanced contact protection to reduce accidental contact with live parts.
- Flush-mounted installation for clean integration in interior panels and bulkheads.
- IP20 rating, intended for protected locations away from direct water spray.
- Thermoplastic body, halogen free, with a matt finish.
- Label space on the front for circuit identification.
- Offered with either screwed terminals or push-in clamp (screwless) terminals depending on variant.
Variants
This outlet is offered in multiple configurations to match the look of your interior and the way you prefer to wire the circuit.
Across the range, the visible color varies (Grey, White, Silver), along with the front style (No Cover, With Cover, or Flat Design). Installation also varies between versions that use screwed terminals and versions that use push-in clamp (screwless) terminals.
Installation and setup
This is a flush-mounted, modular device, so it should be fitted into a suitable recessed box or mounting solution and aligned to the rest of the Eikon modular layout. Before wiring, isolate the AC supply at the main breaker and verify the circuit is de-energized.
After installation, check polarity and that the protective earth is continuous back to the vessel system. In marine AC systems, this outlet should be protected by an RCD or equivalent residual-current device upstream, and the circuit should be sized appropriately for a 16 A receptacle.
Compatibility and fit
This product is for 250 V~ AC distribution, not for 12 V or 24 V DC. It is meant for French-standard plugs, so confirm your onboard appliances and adapters match the socket format you are installing.
Because it is a 2-module Eikon device, confirm your mounting layout, frames, and plates are set up for a 2-module outlet position, and that you have at least 35.9 mm of clear depth behind the finished surface for the device body and cable bend radius.
Use on board
This is a good match for owners refitting cabins, saloons, and nav areas where you want a French receptacle in a modular Eikon layout and the outlet sits in a protected, dry location. For galleys, heads, or anywhere with frequent moisture, place it where it is sheltered and consider a covered front style for an extra physical barrier at the face.
As with any onboard AC outlet, inspect periodically for heat discoloration, loose wiring, and any signs of corrosion from airborne salt, especially if the boat sees heavy ventilation or doors are often left open at the dock.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
