Overview
The Attwood Marine LightArmor is a 5 in. High Performance surface-mount underwater LED light for boats that need a low-profile fixture below the waterline. This parent product covers the 6 LED versions in Sapphire Blue, Tactical Green, and Intense White, each rated at 1,350 fixture lumens and built for 12V and 24V DC systems.
The fixture uses fully sealed waterproof electronics, reverse polarity protection, a heat sink cooling system with active overheat protection, and an impact-resistant lens. The 5.0 HP body measures 5.00 in. long by 2.15 in. wide, with 4.25 in. spacing between mounting holes, so it is suited to a transom or hull surface where the light can stay underwater during operation.
Key features
- 5 in. 6 LED High Performance underwater light with 1,350 fixture lumens across the listed color options.
- Works with 12V and 24V DC boat electrical systems, with current draw varying by color.
- Surface-mount format with a low installed height of 0.56 in. for clean mounting on the transom or hull exterior.
- Electro-polished 316 stainless steel cover is included in aftermarket packaging and can be installed as needed.
- Fully sealed waterproof electronics, reverse polarity protection, and active overheat protection help protect the light in submerged marine use.
- 3 ft. sheathed wire supports a cleaner installation path from the light body into the boat.
- Mounting layout uses 4.25 in. distance between mounting holes and a 0.56 in. wiring hole diameter for the 5.0 HP body.
Variants
This LightArmor range is offered in three color configurations. The 5 in. body, 6 LED layout, 1,350 fixture lumen rating, 12V and 24V DC compatibility, surface-mount format, and 316 stainless steel cover remain the same across these listed variants.
The main difference is light color and current draw. Sapphire Blue draws 0.66A at 13.6V and 0.33A at 24V, Tactical Green draws 0.71A at 13.6V and 0.36A at 24V, and Intense White draws 1.26A at 13.6V and 0.63A at 24V.
- 65UW06B-7: Sapphire Blue. This color gives the wake and water behind the boat a blue appearance and uses the lowest current draw of the three listed variants.
- 65UW06G-7: Tactical Green. The green output changes the stern lighting look without changing the 5 in. mounting footprint, which helps keep installation planning consistent across color choices.
- 65UW06W-7: Intense White. The white output gives a neutral lighting appearance and has the highest current draw of the three listed variants, so circuit sizing should account for 1.26A at 13.6V per light.
Installation and setup
This is a surface-mount underwater light, so installation planning should start with the below-waterline location, wire entry point, and access inside the hull for connections. The fixture is intended to work underwater, not as a dry transom light, so placement should keep the housing submerged during normal use.
The 5.0 HP body has a 0.56 in. wiring hole and a 0.30 in. wire collar depth. The 3 ft. sheathed lead helps route through the hull to a properly protected 12V or 24V DC circuit.
Use on board
For dockside evenings, nighttime fishing at anchor, or lighting around the stern and swim platform, this range fits boats where a compact underwater light is preferred over a larger 6 in. fixture. It is a good match for owners comparing color options while keeping the same mounting footprint and LightArmor HP construction.
What is included
- LightArmor 5 in. 6 LED underwater light in the selected color.
- Electro-polished 316 stainless steel cover in aftermarket packaging.
