Overview
The Vimar Arké 19008 is a 1-pole normally-open push button rated 10 A at 250 V AC for Arké modular frames and cover plates.
It works as a momentary control: the contact closes only while the button is pressed, which suits relay control, call-bell circuits, and other functions where you do not want a maintained ON position. The front button is replaceable and the device is lightable, which helps when you want clear identification at night without changing the mechanism.
With an IP40 rating and a thermoplastic body, it is best installed in protected interior locations on board that stay dry and are not exposed to spray or washdowns.
Key features
- Momentary 1P NO action for control circuits such as relays, bells, and low-current inputs
- Electrical rating: 10 A, 250 V AC
- Lightable button for use with a compatible illumination accessory
- Replaceable button cap to refresh appearance or function marking without rewiring
- IP40 protection for interior, sheltered mounting locations
- Flush-mounted modular format that snaps into the Arké support system
- Available with different finishes, module widths, and terminal styles depending on configuration
Variants
This range is offered in multiple configurations to match different Arké installations and panel layouts.
Options vary by finish (including grey, white, metal, and antibacterial finishes), module width (1-module and 2-module versions), terminal style (screw terminals or screwless terminals), and button marking (plain, bell symbol, or light symbol on selected 2-module versions).
Compatibility and fit
This is part of the Vimar Arké modular ecosystem, so fit is driven by the Arké frame and cover plate you are using and by the module width required in your layout. Match the module count to the available positions in the plate and to the function labeling you want at the helm, in the cabin, or at an interior switch panel.
IP40 is suitable for indoor spaces like cabins, saloons, nav stations, and utility panels that are kept dry. For wet lockers, open cockpits, and areas that see washdowns, plan on a protected enclosure or a different device with a higher ingress rating.
Installation and wiring
Mounting is flush-style: the mechanism clips into the Arké support and the cover plate finishes the installation. Wire it as a normally-open push button so the circuit closes only while pressed, then returns to open when released.
Configurations with screwless terminals can speed up installation in tight panels, while screw-terminal versions let you set clamp pressure manually. On a boat, use proper conductor sizing for the circuit, keep terminations tidy to avoid chafe, and re-check connections after initial sea time if the panel sees regular vibration.
Use on board
This is a good match for boats already using Vimar Arké plates where you want consistent styling across cabins and technical spaces. It is commonly used for functions like triggering lighting relays, calling an internal bell, or sending a momentary signal to a control module, with symbol-marked buttons helping keep panels readable at a glance.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
