The difference between the variants is the threading style. Matching the threaded or non-threaded version to the existing seat mount and base is important for proper fit in an Attwood Lock'N-Pin seating setup.

• SP-2244-ADJ, Non-threaded threading. This version suits compatible Lock'N-Pin bases and mounts that use the non-threaded pin connection.
• SP-2244-ADJ-T, Threaded threading. This version suits compatible Lock'N-Pin bases and mounts that require the threaded pin connection.

Compatibility and fit

This pedestal post is intended for Attwood 3/4 in Lock'N-Pin seating systems. Before installation, compare the threading style, pin size, post height range, and base style with the hardware already on the boat. A matching seat mount and base are needed for the lock function to work as intended.

The 25 in to 31 in height range is commonly used for elevated deck seating rather than low cockpit seating. Because it is a Type B component, it should not be used as a helm seat or in applications where the boat is operated above the stated speed limit for that rating.

Installation and use

The post is made for drop-in use with compatible Lock'N-Pin components. Once the correct threaded or non-threaded version is matched to the base, the pin connection locks into place so the seat hardware stays joined during normal boarding, fishing, cruising, and dockside movement.

Height is adjusted manually, which keeps the setup simple and avoids wiring, switches, or powered lift parts. This makes it a good match for boats where a straightforward pedestal post is preferred for fishing seats, removable deck seats, or replacement seating hardware.

Maintenance and care
