Overview

The Hella Marine Sea Hawk-350 is a Multivolt 9-33V DC LED light bar built for deck and spreader-area lighting with a 5000K white output. On high it draws 25W (under 2A at 12V and under 1A at 24V) and puts out 2200 lumens; the low setting runs at 5W and 220 lumens for closer work and reduced glare.

It carries an IP 6K7 / IP6K9K sealing rating, which suits exposed mounting points that see spray, vibration, and regular washdowns.

With an overall length of about 408 mm, this light bar mounts on a bracket and comes pre-wired with 2.5 m of tinned multi-core marine cable to simplify routing back to your switching and power distribution.

Across the range, housing color (black or white) and beam pattern (Spot or Spread) are the main differences. Spot and Spread versions include the high and low intensity outputs noted above, along with Multivolt 9-33V DC operation and an IP 6K7 / IP6K9K sealed enclosure.

• 958040701: Black housing, Spread beam pattern. A wide pattern fills cockpit and foredeck areas where you want even light across a larger working zone.
• 958040651: Black housing, Spot beam pattern. The darker housing keeps a low visual profile on black tops and towers while keeping the beam more focused.
• 958040711: White housing, Spread beam pattern. The spread lens covers close-range areas where crew move and work, with less need to aim precisely.

Compatibility and fit

Plan for an overall length of about 408 mm and allow clearance so the bracket can be angled without the housing contacting a hardtop edge, rail, or spreader structure. On boats where the light is mounted overhead, a slight downward aim helps keep the beam off the helm sightline while still lighting the working area.

Electrical and system integration

This is a DC light for 9-33V systems, so it fits typical 12V and 24V distributions. Protect each lamp with a fuse rated at 5A maximum, sized and located in line with your boat’s wiring practices.

LED modules are polarity conscious, so reverse polarity will stop the light from operating even though it is not expected to damage the unit. The pre-wired multi-core cable supports control of the available intensity outputs, and connections should be sealed for wet locations and strain-relieved where the cable enters panels or junction points.

Beam pattern and on-board use

Spot versions concentrate the light into a tighter pattern for forward-facing illumination and higher mounting points where you want reach. Spread versions wash a wider area at close range for cockpit, foredeck, and general work lighting where even coverage matters more than distance.

This light bar is a good match for owners who need a sealed, high-output deck light on an exposed mount and for crews who want the option of a lower setting for dockside tasks or night work without blasting the whole deck in full output.

Materials and corrosion resistance

The non-metal, thermally conductive housing helps avoid the corrosion issues that can show up with metal-bodied lights in saltwater use. A heavy-duty Grilamid lens and a polished 316 stainless steel bracket handle the knocks and spray you get on hardtops, arches, and spreader locations, as long as mounting hardware is installed with proper bedding and periodic checks.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt residue from the lens and bracket after heavy spray or washdowns, and re-check bracket fasteners as part of your regular deck hardware inspection. Keeping cable runs supported and away from chafe points will do as much for long-term reliability as the light itself.
