Overview
The Jabsco 36770 Flexmount Continuous Duty 4" Blower is a 4 inch AC ventilation blower for equipment spaces and diesel engine room ventilation where continuous air movement is needed. It uses a Flexmount bracket so the outlet can be rotated to suit the duct run, helping reduce sharp bends and awkward hose routing in tight machinery spaces.
This blower family is available in 115V AC at 60 Hz with 250 CFM airflow and 220V AC at 50 Hz with 200 CFM airflow. Both versions use a continuous-duty motor with thermal overload protection, a reinforced thermoset plastic housing, slip-on inlet ducting, and corrosion-resistant materials throughout.
It is not ignition protected and must not be used to exhaust gasoline fumes or installed where flammable vapors may be present. For gasoline engine compartments, use an ignition-protected blower rated for that application.
Key features
- 4 inch blower for AC-powered ventilation in equipment areas and diesel engine room spaces.
- Flexmount universal bracket lets the outlet face the direction that works best for the duct path.
- Continuous-duty motor with thermal overload protection for long ventilation runs.
- Reinforced thermoset plastic housing helps keep weight down while handling the conditions found around machinery spaces.
- Slip-on inlet ducting connection works with 4 inch ducting for straightforward installation.
- Corrosion-resistant materials throughout support use in humid marine compartments.
- 115V AC model moves 250 CFM, while the 220V AC model moves 200 CFM.
Variants
The 36770 Flexmount blower is offered in two AC configurations. The main differences are voltage, frequency, airflow, current draw, and fuse size.
Both variants use the same 4 inch Flexmount blower format, share the same 9 lb (4.1 kg) listed weight, and are intended for AC ventilation use in suitable non-gasoline vapor areas.
- 36770-0115: 115 AC, 60 Hz, 250 CFM (7.0 m3/min). This version fits 115V AC systems and has a listed 1.5 amp draw with a 2A AGC fuse.
- 36770-0220: 220 AC, 50 Hz, 200 CFM (5.6 m3/min). This version fits 220V AC systems and has a listed 0.35 amp draw with a 0.5A AGC fuse.
Installation and fit
Mount the blower on a flat bulkhead surface in the highest part of the compartment, away from spray and deck wash. The rotating Flexmount bracket is useful when the shortest duct route does not line up with a fixed outlet position.
Use 4 inch ducting and keep the run as direct as the vessel layout allows. Shorter duct runs with fewer tight turns help the blower move air more effectively through the compartment.
Electrical integration
This is an AC blower, so the selected variant must match the vessel or equipment power supply. The 115V AC model is for 60 Hz systems, while the 220V AC model is for 50 Hz systems.
Wiring should be handled by a qualified marine electrician and matched to the circuit protection required for the selected model. A separate ground connection to the motor case ground lead is part of the installation.
Use on board
This blower is a practical match for boats that need continuous AC ventilation for equipment spaces, galleys, heads, and diesel engine room ventilation. It is especially useful where the mounting surface and duct exit angle are difficult to align with a fixed blower body.
Before installation, confirm the compartment does not contain gasoline fumes or other flammable vapors, and confirm that the available AC supply matches the selected variant.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
