Overview
The Victron Energy Modular MEGA Fuse Holder and High Current Busbar is a configurable high-current DC distribution system for MEGA fuse protection and busbar linking in battery, inverter, and charger installations. The range includes a single MEGA fuse holder rated for 400A, a 5-position busbar rated for 500A, and a 6-position busbar rated for 1500A.
This setup is useful on boats where heavy DC loads need tidy fuse protection and a clear connection point near the battery bank or inverter/charger equipment. The modular holder uses a dovetail connection so multiple fuse holders can interlock, helping keep high-current circuits organized inside an electrical locker, battery compartment, or technical space.
Key features
- Modular MEGA fuse holder format for high-current DC circuit protection.
- Dovetail feature allows multiple fuse holders to interlock for a cleaner grouped installation.
- 5-position busbar option rated at 500A with one M10 input connection.
- 6-position busbar option rated at 1500A with two M10 input connections.
- Busbar options are made for connecting multiple CIP100200100 fuse holders in one distribution assembly.
- 6-position busbar layout suits high-power Victron Multi or Quattro inverter/charger systems where multiple units are paralleled.
Variants
This product is offered in three configurations covering the fuse holder itself and the matching high-current busbars used to link several holders together.
The main differences are the product form, the number of positions, and the current rating. The busbar variants also differ in input connection layout, with the 5-position version using one M10 input connection and the 6-position version using two M10 input connections.
- CIP100200100: Fuse holder, 1 position, 400A current rating. This is the single modular MEGA fuse holder used as the building block for fused high-current DC circuits.
- CIP100400060: Busbar, 5 positions, 500A current rating. This busbar links up to five modular fuse holders and uses one M10 input connection.
- CIP100400070: Busbar, 6 positions, 1500A current rating. This busbar links up to six modular fuse holders and uses two M10 input connections for higher-current distribution assemblies.
Installation and setup
Plan the layout before mounting so cable runs stay short, bends are controlled, and service access remains available. In a marine DC system, this type of fuse and busbar assembly is commonly placed close to the battery bank or inverter/charger feed, with cable sizing, fuse rating, and overcurrent protection selected for the actual circuit.
The interlocking holder design helps reduce clutter compared with separate, loose fuse blocks. Leave enough clearance for cable lugs, insulation boots where used, and future inspection, especially in spaces exposed to vibration or regular maintenance.
Compatibility and fit
The fuse holder configuration is for MEGA fuse installations. The busbar configurations are made to connect multiple Victron modular MEGA fuse holders, so they should be matched with the correct holder quantity and current rating for the system.
This range is a good match for boat owners, marine technicians, and system builders working on high-current DC layouts for battery banks, inverter/chargers, and other heavy-load circuits where grouped fuse protection and busbar distribution need to stay neat and serviceable.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
