Overview

The Garmin Navionics Vision+ NVSA005L is an electronic chart for Chile, Argentina and Easter Island that loads on compatible Garmin chartplotters. It includes coastal and inland detail, daily chart updates through the ActiveCaptain app, and Auto Guidance+ route suggestions for dock-to-dock planning.

This region is offered in two editions: Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+. Navionics+ covers the core chart layers, while Vision+ adds extra downloadable layers such as high-resolution relief shading and high-resolution satellite imagery. Contours can display down to 1 foot where that data exists.

  • 010-C1286-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+, Format microSD/SD. The chart stays on removable media, which is handy when the plotter reads charts directly from a card slot.
  • 010-D1888-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+, Format Download. The chart is delivered digitally and installed to a compatible memory card before use on the plotter.
  • 010-C1286-20: Version Garmin Navionics+, Format microSD/SD. The chart is supplied on removable media for chartplotters that use microSD or SD chart cards.
  • 010-D1888-20: Version Garmin Navionics+, Format Download. The chart is delivered digitally and installed to a compatible memory card before use on the plotter.
Compatibility and fit

This chart is intended for compatible Garmin chartplotters that support Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ cartography. Confirm your plotter supports the selected edition and has the right media support for microSD/SD, or supports chart downloads if you are purchasing the download format.

Installation and setup

For the microSD/SD option, insert the card into the chartplotter and select the chart in the plotter chart settings. Keep the card in the unit while navigating so the chart layers remain available.

For the download option, install the chart to a compatible memory card using Navionics Chart Installer on a computer (Windows 10 or later, or macOS 10.13 or later). Once loaded, the chartplotter uses the card the same way as a physical chart card.

Updates and onboard use

Daily updates and additional downloadable content are managed through the ActiveCaptain app during sync. Any suggested routing should be treated as planning guidance and checked against local conditions and safe navigation practices.

Depth range shading and shallow water shading are useful when you want to quickly spot target depths for fishing or keep an eye on thin-water areas as conditions change.

Who this is a good match for

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
