The Victron Energy Skylla-i Battery Charger 24V (3) is a 24 V mounted battery charger range for boats that need high-output charging across three battery banks. This parent product covers the 80 A and 100 A charge current versions, both built around a 230 V input and the Skylla-i three-output layout.
Each Skylla-i (3) charger has three isolated outputs, with each output able to deliver the full rated charge current. That makes it useful for vessels with separate house, service, and auxiliary battery banks where charging needs to be handled from one fixed charger rather than several separate units.
The charger supports adaptive charging for lead-acid batteries, has BatterySafe and Storage modes, and is LiFePO4 ready when used in a properly configured system. This Victron Energy Skylla-i Battery Charger 24V (3) range is offered in two charge current configurations. Both variants are part of the 24 V Skylla-i (3) 230 V charger family and use the same three-output charging concept.
The main difference between the variants is maximum charge current. The 80 A version suits installations with lower charging demand, while the 100 A version supports larger 24 V battery banks or systems where faster recovery from shore power or generator charging is required.
- SKI024080002: Charge Current 80 A. This version gives 80 A charging capacity for 24 V battery systems and keeps the Skylla-i three-output layout for multiple onboard banks.
- SKI024100002: Charge Current 100 A. This version increases charging capacity to 100 A for larger 24 V systems while keeping the same three-output Skylla-i (3) format.
Installation and setup
This is a mounted charger, so it belongs in a fixed installation with suitable ventilation, cable sizing, overcurrent protection, and access for service. On many boats that means an engine room, machinery space, technical locker, or dedicated electrical compartment where AC input wiring and DC battery cables can be routed cleanly.
Because the charger can work with multiple battery banks, cable runs and voltage drop matter. The voltage sense function helps compensate for cable resistance so the battery receives the intended charge voltage, but the system still needs proper marine wiring practice and secure terminations that can handle vibration.
Compatibility and system integration
The Skylla-i range is a good match for 24 V vessels with more than one battery bank, including cruising boats, workboats, larger center consoles, and yachts with separate house and auxiliary loads.
