Compatibility and fit
These charts are for compatible Garmin chartplotters that support the Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ formats. If you are running an older plotter that only supports BlueChart g3 or LakeVü g3 mapping, this region will not load in the newer format.
Activation, updates, and downloads
The chart comes with a one-year subscription, but updates and downloadable layers are not available until the subscription is activated on a registered compatible chartplotter. Daily updates and downloadable content are handled through the ActiveCaptain app, so plan on pairing your mobile device to the chartplotter when you are ready to activate and update.
Charts and any layers downloaded during the subscription period remain available on the plotter or media, but new downloads stop when the subscription expires unless it is renewed. Auto Guidance+ is for planning purposes only and does not replace safe navigation practices or local notices.
Use on board
This region is a practical fit for skippers cruising Scandinavian coasts and nearby inland waters who want current chart content, clear contour presentation, and the option to add premium overlays in supported areas. It is also useful for anglers who rely on depth shading and contour detail to read structure around shoals, channels, and harbor approaches.
