Overview
The Garmin Navionics NSUS012R is an electronic chart region for Canada, East and the Great Lakes that loads on compatible Garmin chartplotters. It combines coastal and inland coverage in one chart set, with Nautical Chart and SonarChart layers available for everyday navigation and contour-focused fishing. You get up to 1 ft contours, plus depth range shading with up to 10 color options so target depths are easier to spot at a glance.
The included one-year subscription unlocks daily updates through the ActiveCaptain app and supports Auto Guidance+ route suggestions using your entered depth and overhead clearance. Auto Guidance+ is a planning tool only and does not replace safe navigation. This region is a good match for crews running the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence River and nearby coastal routes who want current chart data and clear depth presentation at the helm.

Variants
This chart region is offered in multiple configurations that vary by chart version and delivery format.
Garmin Navionics+ includes the core chart layers, depth shading and Auto Guidance+. Garmin Navionics Vision+ includes everything in Navionics+ and adds additional view layers such as high-resolution relief shading, satellite imagery, aerial photography and 3D views where available. Both card and download formats include a one-year subscription for daily updates through the ActiveCaptain app.
- 010-C1484-20: Version Garmin Navionics+ in microSD/SD format. A physical card plugs into the chartplotter card slot and stays installed for normal use on board.
- 010-D2231-20: Version Garmin Navionics+ in Download format. Map data is loaded onto your own microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, which is useful when you want to manage storage yourself.
- 010-C1484-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+ in microSD/SD format. This adds premium chart views on top of the standard layers while keeping a simple, plug-in card install.
- 010-D2231-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+ in Download format. This delivers the Vision+ content as a download so it can be written to your own microSD/SD card through Garmin Express.
Compatibility and fit
Confirm that your Garmin chartplotter supports Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+ for the region you are buying. You will also need an available microSD/SD card slot at the display for card use, or a microSD/SD card you provide if you are purchasing the download format.
Installation and setup
For the microSD/SD option, insert the card into the chartplotter card slot and leave it installed while underway. For the download option, use Garmin Express to load the charts onto your own microSD/SD card, then insert that card into the chartplotter.
Daily updates are handled through the ActiveCaptain app after activation. If you prefer updating on a computer, chart updates can also be applied to a card using Navionics Chart Installer with a card reader.
On-board use notes
Auto Guidance+ can help with route planning, but it should always be cross-checked against conditions, local knowledge, notices and your sounder. When updating charts, avoid removing the card or powering down the system mid-update, and keep card slots closed at the helm to reduce salt spray and moisture exposure.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
