Overview
The Garmin STRIKER Cast is a castable sonar device that sends live sonar to your phone or tablet through the STRIKER Cast app. It streams wirelessly up to 60 m (200 ft.) and reads depth from less than 0.6 m to 45 m (2 ft. to 150 ft.) using 260/455 kHz sonar.
Drop it straight down next to a dock, cast and retrieve from shore, or tether it behind a kayak at low speed to see fish targets, structure, and bottom return on your screen. The built-in rechargeable battery runs about 10 hours in typical use, and the housing floats with an IPX7 water rating for on-the-water spray and dunking.

Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations based on whether the device includes built-in GPS.
GPS models add location-based functions in the app, including recording Garmin Quickdraw Contours. Non-GPS models focus on sonar streaming and viewing.
- 010-02246-00: With GPS No. Sonar streaming and viewing stays centered on what is under the device while you cast, retrieve, or tie off.
- 010-02246-02: With GPS Yes. Adds GPS support in the app for recording Garmin Quickdraw Contours while you fish.
Installation and setup
Charge the device over USB, install the STRIKER Cast app on your Apple or Android device, then place the unit in the water to power it on for pairing. Once connected, sonar data appears when the device is in the water.
For casting, it can be attached to a fishing line or the included tether. A 20 lb test or higher line is recommended, using a #3 barrel swivel with a snap on a medium-action or heavier rod.
Compatibility and use on board
STRIKER Cast makes sense for anglers who fish from shore, docks, anchorages, kayaks, and small tenders where a fixed display and transducer are not practical. Keep your phone or tablet within wireless range of the device, and expect the usable range to vary with conditions on the water.
If you tow it behind a vessel, keep speeds low and avoid rough water. Towing faster than 8 km/h (5 mph) or in choppy conditions can reduce sonar performance and can create safety issues.
Care and storage
After use, especially in saltwater, rinse the unit with fresh water and dry it thoroughly. Pay extra attention to the charging contacts and surrounding area before charging to help prevent corrosion. Do not store the device in the water.
For best battery care, charge it within 5 to 40°C (41 to 104°F).

Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
