Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VEU464S is an electronic chart that covers the Atlantic coast of France from Guilvinec to Les Sables d'Olonne, including St. Nazaire, the Loire to Nantes, Belle Ile, Ile de Groix, and Ile d'Yeu.
It loads directly on a compatible Garmin chartplotter through microSD/SD media and adds premium chart layers like Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges, Shallow Water Shading you set to your own threshold, and contour detail up to 1-foot where the underlying survey data supports it.
This chart is a good match when you run this stretch of coast regularly and want clearer depth context for route planning and harbor work, while still keeping a close eye on your sounder, local notices, and real conditions on the water.
Key features
- Chart coverage for Penmarch through Les Sables d'Olonne, including Guilvinec, St. Nazaire, the Loire River to Nantes, Belle Ile, Ile de Groix, and Ile d'Yeu
- Depth Range Shading for up to 10 selectable depth bands to keep the depth you care about easy to spot
- Shallow Water Shading that you can set to your own minimum depth threshold
- Bottom contours up to 1-foot (30 cm) in areas with supporting data, useful when you are working close to structure
- High-resolution satellite imagery and aerial photos in supported areas to help match real-world landmarks during approaches
- 3-D chart perspectives (MarinerEye and FishEye) on units that support those views
- Auto Guidance route suggestions on compatible units, using the depth and overhead clearance values you enter
Variants
This chart is offered in two formats, depending on whether you want a physical card or a digital delivery.
The underlying coverage stays the same, and the practical difference is how you load the chart to your plotter.
- 010-C0808-00: Format SD Card. A preprogrammed chart card that you insert into the chartplotter card slot when you are ready to use the chart.
- 010-D0406-00: Format Download. A digital download that is installed to an SD card using Garmin Express before it is inserted into the chartplotter.
Compatibility and fit
This cartography is intended for compatible Garmin chartplotters and marine handhelds that support BlueChart g3 Vision and can read microSD/SD media. If your unit has built-in cartography that already covers the same area, supplemental map content may only display when the built-in region does not cover the location you are viewing.
Features like Auto Guidance and 3-D views depend on the chartplotter model and software. It is worth confirming your specific unit supports those layers before you count on them for planning.
Installation and setup
For the card format, power the unit down, insert the chart card, then power up and select the chart from the chartplotter map menu. For the download format, complete the download and write it to an SD card through Garmin Express, then insert that card into the chartplotter.
Keep the chart media in the slot while using the chart, and store it in a dry place when not in use. If you are moving the card between boats, make sure each plotter recognizes the card and that your chart settings and depth shading preferences are set the way you expect.
Use on board
This coverage is well suited to coastal cruising and fishing along the Bay of Biscay edge, where you want clearer depth context near islands, river approaches, and port entrances. It is also handy when you are planning routes between waypoints and want the chart to show depth structure in a way that is quick to read at the helm.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
