Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 HD is an electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters, covering the northern Norway coast from Vestfjorden to Vadsø and extending to Svalbard and its approaches (HXEU054R). It layers coastal detail with integrated Garmin and Navionics chart content, and supports features like Auto Guidance plus Depth Range Shading with up to 10 depth ranges on chartplotters that can display those layers.
Contour detail can be shown down to 1 foot in areas where that level of data is available, which helps when you are reading bottom shape around harbors, channels, and common fishing structure. This coverage is offered as a preprogrammed microSD/SD card or as a download that is installed to a microSD/SD card, and there is also a BlueChart g3 Vision HD option for the same area (VEU054R) that adds additional chart layers where they are included.

Variants
This chart is offered in multiple configurations so you can match the mapping level and delivery format to your setup.
Options vary by BlueChart version (BlueChart g3 HD or BlueChart g3 Vision HD) and by format (preprogrammed microSD/SD card or download installed to a microSD/SD card).

Compatibility and fit
Confirm that your Garmin chartplotter supports the BlueChart g3 format and has the correct card slot for the media you plan to use. Download versions still end up on a microSD/SD card for use in a compatible chartplotter, and a single card is typically dedicated to one chart.
Chart features and layers can vary by chartplotter model and by what is available for a specific area on the chart. If a feature is not supported by the plotter, the chart will still display basic navigation detail.
Installation and setup
For card versions, insert the microSD/SD card into the chartplotter and power up, then select the chart source and layers as needed. Keep the card seated in the unit while underway so the plotter can access the chart data at all zoom levels.
For download versions, install the chart to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, then use it the same way as a preprogrammed chart card. Use a quality card and avoid loading multiple charts onto the same card unless your installation method explicitly supports it.
Use on board
This coverage is a practical fit for boats running the northern Norway coast and for crews making runs toward Svalbard where coastal detail matters when planning entrances, anchoring areas, and route options around weather. It also suits anglers who want contour detail in areas where that information is available on the chart.
Planning notes
Auto Guidance creates a suggested route based on the parameters you enter on the chartplotter. Always review any suggested route against local knowledge, current conditions, and safe navigation practices before following it on the water.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
