Overview
The Victron Energy MIDI-fuse 58V-M6 is a bolt-down DC fuse range for protecting low-voltage electrical circuits on boats, with current ratings from 30A to 100A and a 58V maximum voltage rating. The M6 connection format suits compatible MIDI fuse holders and compact DC distribution layouts where a secure fuse connection is needed.
This range is a practical match for marine battery systems, charger feeds, DC-DC converter circuits, electronics distribution, and other onboard DC loads where the fuse rating must be matched to the cable and equipment. The MIDI format gives a smaller footprint than larger high-current fuse styles, while still using a fixed mechanical connection rather than a push-in blade fuse.
Key features
- 58V maximum voltage rating for low-voltage DC systems, including 12V, 24V, and suitable 48V installations where the system voltage remains within the fuse rating.
- M6 bolt-down connection for compatible MIDI fuse holders and DC protection assemblies.
- Available in 30A, 40A, 60A, 80A, and 100A ratings to suit different protected circuits.
- Package of 5 fuses in the selected current rating, useful for service spares or repeated installations.
- Approximate voltage drop is 65 mV on the 30A and 40A ratings, and 70 mV on the 60A, 80A, and 100A ratings.
- Cold resistance values are specified by rating, which helps when checking voltage loss and heat in carefully planned DC layouts.
Variants
This product is offered in five current ratings. Each variant uses the same MIDI-fuse 58V-M6 format and the same package style, while the current rating changes to match the circuit being protected.
The correct variant depends on the cable size, the connected equipment, and the fuse value required by the installation. A fuse should protect the conductor and circuit, not simply match the largest current the equipment might draw.
- CIP134030020 - 30A current rating. This version has an approximate voltage drop of 65 mV and cold resistance of 2 mO, making it suitable for lower-current DC circuits that call for 30A fuse protection.
- CIP134040020 - 40A current rating. This version has an approximate voltage drop of 65 mV and cold resistance of 1.4 mO, giving a step up for circuits specified around 40A.
- CIP134060020 - 60A current rating. This version has an approximate voltage drop of 70 mV and cold resistance of 0.9 mO for circuits that require 60A protection.
- CIP134080020 - 80A current rating. This version has an approximate voltage drop of 70 mV and cold resistance of 0.42 mO, suited to higher-load DC runs where 80A protection is specified.
- CIP134100020 - 100A current rating. This version has an approximate voltage drop of 70 mV and cold resistance of 0.45 mO for DC circuits that require 100A fuse protection.
Installation and fit
Install the fuse in a compatible MIDI fuse holder with M6 studs or terminals. The holder, cable, lugs, and torque values should match the current rating and the surrounding electrical system, especially in battery compartments, engine spaces, and other areas exposed to vibration.
For boat installations, the fuse should normally be placed close to the power source for the protected circuit, with cable routing kept short, supported, and protected from chafe. Always isolate the battery supply before servicing, and replace a blown fuse only after the cause of the fault has been found.
Use cases on board
These fuses suit compact DC protection points in marine electrical systems, including battery distribution, solar charge controller outputs, DC-DC charger feeds, electronics supply circuits, and auxiliary equipment circuits where a MIDI fuse is specified.
They are a good match for owners, refit yards, and marine electricians who want consistent spare fuses across a Victron-based DC system without mixing fuse formats unnecessarily.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
