Overview
The Garmin 010-12106-10 is a jack plate mount for Garmin DownVü and SideVü scanning transducers that use 4-, 8-, or 12-pin connections. It moves the transducer to the jack plate and lets you set the angle so the transducer face sits parallel with the water surface.
This mounting style helps you get useful scanning returns at slower speeds while keeping a transducer from hanging off the transom. When the boat is up on plane, the transducer rides out of the water so sonar does not track bottom at speed.
By relocating the transducer to the jack plate, the mount also reduces drag and keeps the transducer better protected from underwater obstructions that can be common around docks, flats, and shallow ramps.
Key features
- Fits compatible Garmin scanning transducers with 4-, 8-, or 12-pin connectors for DownVü and SideVü use
- Jack plate mounting position keeps the transducer supported and less exposed to underwater strikes
- Adjustable angle helps align the transducer face with the water surface for consistent returns
- Mount location avoids added drag and lifts the transducer clear of the water when the boat is on plane
- Useful when you want low-speed scanning performance without bottom tracking during higher-speed runs
Compatibility and fit
Confirm your transducer is a Garmin scanning model with a 4-, 8-, or 12-pin plug, and verify the transducer body has clearance from the jack plate, outboard, and steering hardware through full trim and jack plate travel. This accessory is intended for jack plate installation rather than a direct transom mount.
Installation and setup
After the bracket is secured, set the transducer angle so the bottom face is parallel with the waterline at rest. Route the cable up the jack plate with enough slack for movement, then secure it so it cannot chafe, pinch, or snag when the engine is trimmed or the plate is adjusted.
Use cases on board
This mount makes sense for outboard boats with a jack plate that rely on scanning sonar for fishing and structure work, especially in areas where debris and shallow water can put a transom-mounted transducer at risk. It also helps when the transom is crowded with steps, tabs, or other hardware and you need a cleaner mounting location.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
