Overview
The Vimar IoT Dial Thermostat is a flush-mount room thermostat for AC-powered heating and cooling control, with a 100-240 V AC supply, a relay output rated at 5(2) A 240 V~, and Bluetooth 5.0 for the View Wireless mesh system.
It fits a 2-module installation and works in ON/OFF or PID control mode. There is also an input for an external resistance temperature sensor, which is useful when the thermostat needs to read temperature away from the mounting point or when cabin conditions change quickly.
For marine use, this unit makes sense in protected interior spaces such as cabins, saloons, crew areas, and enclosed wheelhouses where climate control is part of an AC system. With IP30 protection and an operating range of 0 C to +40 C, it is meant for indoor locations rather than open deck, washdown, or other exposed areas.
Key features
- 100-240 V AC power supply with a clean relay output rated at 5(2) A 240 V~
- Supports both heating and air conditioning control in ON/OFF and PID modes
- Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity for integration into the View Wireless mesh system
- Input for an external resistance temperature sensor for installations where the sensing point needs to be moved
- Flush-mounted 2-module format with white LED backlighting and adjustable brightness
- Works with Eikon, Arké, and Plana cover plates, and can be installed in the Idea range with frame 16723
- IP30 indoor protection, which suits enclosed spaces on board rather than wet or exposed mounting positions
Variants
This thermostat is offered in multiple finish options under the same IoT dial thermostat family.
The visible finish changes between variants. The control format, 2-module size, power supply, relay rating, View Wireless connectivity, and heating and cooling functions stay the same across these listed versions.
- VM02973: Grey finish. This gives the thermostat a darker look that blends well with modern cabin panels and technical interiors.
- VM02973.M: Metal finish. This version shifts the appearance toward a brighter, more decorative front without changing the control format.
- VM02973.N: Silver finish. This keeps the same thermostat layout with a lighter finish that suits contemporary switch and plate combinations.
Installation and setup
This is a flush-mounted thermostat with 3-wire or 4-wire connection, so it should be matched to the vessel's AC HVAC control circuit before purchase. The relay contact is intended for control duties within the stated rating, and it is not a direct controller for low-voltage DC loads such as 12 V or 24 V DC fan circuits unless the wider system is built around the correct interface or relay logic.
Configuration is handled through the View Wireless app. The thermostat can also use an external temperature sensor, and sensor cable length can run up to 10 m when installed with suitable twisted cable, which helps when the best sensing point is not the same as the best mounting point.
Compatibility and fit
This model is a good match for boats and yachts using Vimar switching infrastructure in interior living spaces, especially where the owner wants climate control to sit neatly alongside other 2-module controls. It also suits refit work where a smart thermostat is needed for an enclosed zone and the rest of the system already uses, or plans to use, View Wireless devices.
Before fitting, check the available wall box depth, the compatible cover plate series, and the HVAC control method on board. The thermostat is meant for indoor ambient temperature control, so it should be mounted away from spray, direct weather, and other positions where moisture or outdoor temperature swings would affect accuracy.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
