Overview

The Garmin 010-02590-01 is a 5 in. ECHOMAP UHD2 53cv chartplotter and fishfinder combo that includes the GT20-TM transom-mount transducer. The keyed WVGA display runs at 800 x 480 pixels, the housing is IPX7-rated, and power input is 9 to 18 Vdc with a 3 A fast-acting fuse.

On a small helm or console, the screen footprint stays manageable: 188 x 122 x 61.5 mm (W x H x D) for the unit itself, with 57 mm of rear clearance recommended behind the case. It also handles real-world temperature swings from -15 to 55 C, which matters if you fish cold mornings or leave the boat in the sun.

This bundle includes LakeVü g3 inland mapping plus built-in Wi-Fi for sharing sonar, waypoints, and routes with compatible Garmin chartplotters and pairing with the ActiveCaptain app. With a compatible transducer, it supports single-channel CHIRP (40 to 250 kHz) and ClearVü CHIRP (260/455/800 kHz) at 500 W RMS.

Key features
  • 5 in. (127.3 mm) keyed display with WVGA 800 x 480 resolution for simple operation with wet hands
  • IPX7 water rating and polycarbonate housing for spray, vibration, and routine washdowns
  • 9 to 18 Vdc power input with a 3 A fast-acting fuse; typical current draw is 600 mA at 12 Vdc
  • Included GT20-TM transducer connects through the 4-pin transducer port for traditional and ClearVü sonar plus temperature
  • Sonar support includes single-channel CHIRP (40 to 250 kHz) and ClearVü CHIRP (260/455/800 kHz), up to 500 W RMS with a compatible transducer
  • Built-in Wi-Fi for sharing sonar, waypoints, and routes with compatible Garmin units, plus phone pairing through ActiveCaptain
  • One microSD card slot supports up to 1 TB for charts, updates, and saving user data
  • Operating temperature range from -15 to 55 C for seasonal boating and storage

Installation and setup

The included tilt mount is the practical route when you want to adjust viewing angle or remove the unit between trips, while the flush-mount kit makes sense for a cleaner dash install. Before cutting or drilling, plan around the 188 x 122 x 61.5 mm case size and leave about 57 mm behind the unit for cable bend radius and ventilation.

Wire it to a clean 12 V supply with the specified 3 A fuse in place, and keep connections dry and strain-relieved so vibration does not work the terminals loose. Because input is limited to 9 to 18 Vdc, a 24 V boat will need a regulated step-down converter rather than a direct tie-in.

Compatibility and fit

The GT20-TM in this kit is a transom-mount transducer, so the key fit check is having a mounting spot that stays in clean water flow and is clear of strakes, steps, and heavy prop wash. If you are replacing an older Garmin setup, confirm your existing transducer connector style and sonar type before reusing cables.

For mapping expansion or updates, the microSD slot supports cards up to 1 TB, which is also handy for saving waypoints, routes, and user data backups.

Use on board

This setup fits well on bass boats, jon boats, and small center consoles where helm space is limited but you still want charting plus ClearVü structure views. It is also a good match for anglers who trailer often and want a unit that can be bracket-mounted and removed for storage when the boat is not in use.

Maintenance and care

After salt spray or washdowns, wipe the display and connector area with fresh water and a soft cloth, then let it dry before closing doors or access flaps. When using the microSD slot, keep the gasket and door clean and dry before sealing to help prevent corrosion over time.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
