Overview
The TACO Marine GSC-0025-1 is an outrigger base reducer pair for using 1-1/8" TACO Marine outrigger poles with larger Grand Slam outrigger bases that accept 1-1/2" pin-locking butt poles. Each reducer sleeve is 6" long, with a 1-1/8" inside diameter and a 1-1/2" outside diameter, giving the pole butt the correct fit inside the upgraded base.
This is a practical part for anglers who already have GS-170 outrigger poles and are moving to compatible GS-280 or higher series bases without replacing the poles. The white nylon sleeve fills the diameter difference cleanly, so the existing poles can continue to be used in a newer outrigger base setup.
Key features
- Reduces a 1-1/2" Grand Slam base opening to accept a 1-1/8" outrigger pole butt.
- Works with TACO Marine 1-1/8" GS-170 outrigger poles when upgrading to compatible GS-280 or higher series bases.
- 6" sleeve length gives the reducer enough contact area for a stable fit inside the base.
- Nylon construction keeps the reducer light and suitable for use around saltwater fishing hardware.
- White finish blends with common outrigger pole and base hardware on many center consoles and sport-fishing boats.
- Sold as a pair for port and starboard outrigger bases.
Installation and fit
The reducer sleeves install between the outrigger pole butt and the larger base opening. They are used when the pole diameter is 1-1/8" and the base is sized for a 1-1/2" pin-locking butt pole, so checking both measurements before ordering is the key step.
This part is most useful during an outrigger base upgrade, especially on boats already rigged with TACO GS-170 poles. It helps keep the existing poles in service while changing the base hardware to a larger Grand Slam setup.
Use on board
For offshore trolling, coastal fishing, and regular weekend use, this reducer solves a common rigging issue without changing the full outrigger package. It is a good match for boat owners who are updating their mounts but want to keep a working set of 1-1/8" TACO outrigger poles.
What's included
