Overview

The Garmin 010-12530-01 is a 4 m (13 ft) vehicle power cable that keeps a compatible Garmin Dash Cam powered from a standard 12 V accessory outlet. It uses a micro-B USB connection at the camera end and provides 1 A output for Dash Cam power.

On a boat, this cable is handy when you have a vehicle style 12 V socket at the helm or inside the cabin and want extra reach for a clean run behind panels or along a windshield frame. Like most USB style connections, it should be kept in a dry location and out of direct salt spray.

Key features
  • 4 m (13 ft) length for routing from a 12 V accessory outlet to a dash cam mount position
  • Vehicle power plug to micro-B USB for compatible Garmin Dash Cam models
  • 1 A output sized for Dash Cam power while driving or during extended runs
  • Compatible with Garmin Dash Cam 45, 46, 47, 55, 56, 57, 65W, 66W, 67W, Live, Mini, Mini 2, and Tandem
  • Not compatible with Garmin Dash Cam 10, 20, 30, or 35
Compatibility and fit

This cable is meant for Garmin Dash Cam units that use the matching micro-B USB power input. If you are replacing a lost cable, confirm your dash cam model and the port style on the camera before ordering.

It is a good match for skippers who run a Garmin Dash Cam in the tow vehicle and also want to power the same camera at the helm when a 12 V accessory outlet is available.

Installation and setup

Plan your cable path first, then route from the outlet up to the mounting location with gentle bends and enough slack at the camera so vibration does not tug on the connector. In a marine cockpit or helm, secure the run with cable clamps or ties and protect any pass-through points with a grommet to avoid chafe.

Keep the connection point above drip paths where possible, and avoid routing near sharp edges, moving controls, or heat sources behind the dash.

Electrical and system integration

This cable plugs into a vehicle style 12 V accessory outlet. If your boat is 24 V, use it only with a properly regulated 12 V accessory socket or a suitable DC converter so the outlet matches what the cable is intended to plug into.

Because the output is 1 A, it is best reserved for the dash cam rather than other devices that draw higher current.

What’s included
  • Vehicle power cable (4 m)
Maintenance and care

Wipe the cable and plugs with a dry cloth after use, especially if it has been exposed to damp air or spray. If you see any discoloration on the metal contacts, unplug it and clean the affected area before the next trip.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
